Just so people know incase they didn't, curb boosting works because the momentary time between the wheel dropping off a curb onto the road, the car revs slightly higher. These revs are higher than the loss on impact with the road which then result in a small amount of speed gained

I thought it was more due to acceleration changes calculated as older games might read them. In doom it's faster to run forward and a direction, since the keys add together instead of changing the forward momentum. so if you run at a diagonal, you get the forward velocity and the side velocity. A game like Decent could add all three, getting almost twice as fast going in three then as in one...

5:20 Out of all the falling over, two wheel moments, and hitting the building, the funniest moment IMO has to be Stevie's sudden spin out after flipping off Alex for the bump drafting. That seriously cracked me up after hearing Alex muse about punting them and the game does it for him. XD

I feel like the curb got the car a little too much air there and came down off balance, and the boost effect pulled the car off center into that wall. If InvisibleAK hadn't collided in that instant there may have been time to at least get back to 5th, but the hard hit ended that which makes sense that he waited, not his fault, but yeah, gentleman's move to wait.

That's a car based on a Mk1 escort. My grandmother has one as her only car, an RS2000 in yellow with black stripes and quad rally lights. She's 93 and Russian too, she drives it around in St. Petersburg when she goes to get groceries

Curb boosting is based on fps. So it won't make a huge difference with 30/60 fps. (Compared to the 90 and 120 fps on pc)

The first race was the Albany Primo, it was also one of the cars you could take to bennys

Yup, can't even escape that in a video game anymore. Would be nice if these companies would knock it off. (just recently EA Sports did that with their Madden Games, putting up a splash screen talking about BLM, and a lot of parents are pretty angry - lot of black parents to since they feel that the movement is a sham *it is* and that these companies are merely pandering and virtue signaling)
