Oh come on. 3 switches and 2 ap is a start, but nothing to worry about yet for ubiquiti.

Maybe true... and time will tell, but they are listening to the public which is more than I can say for Unifi these days.

@@ethernetblueprint You made this video FAR FAR to early. Alta Labs barely rates as a blip anywhere currently and will not be able to give Ubiquiti a run for its money for MANY MANY years to come unless Ubiquiti was to really screw up and give them market share. That is not likely to happen as TP-Link Omada is still ahead of them too. You are obviously biased, Ubiquiti should never have been mentioned in this video. Oh, and as for listening to the public, you look like a fool...Ubiquiti has massively changed their product/marketing/sales strategies over the past couple years based off customer feedback as well as their need to address concerns that Alta Labs will not have to deal with for many many years. Only thing you are right about is the dreamwall to a minor degree. People including yourself are obviously clueless about the type of company Ubiquiti is and why they operate the way they do. It's easy when you're the little guy and don't have to meet all the expectations they do.

All I want: Cloud Gateway Ultra with: * 4 - 2.5G ports with POE+ It would be the perfect device. I actually prefer it to not have wifi built in since the standards change so often. I like the idea of upgrading the wifi devices as standards change and keeping my gateway device for as long as possible.

Yeah. The standards are changing fast and more and more new equipment is coming out. You bring up a good point on how to handle that. Thanks for the comment.

What with WiFi 6E and 7?
@ethernetblueprint
@ethernetblueprint 5 ай бұрын
My assumption is that their next WiFi product that operates on the 6Ghz spectrum will be a WiFi7 AP... however, they are sticking to their roadmap and focusing on getting some core products released... Here is a comment on the forum from Jeff Hansen, who I talked about in the video, commenting on WiFi 7... "The AP6-Pro does feature 4096 QAM, which is a key feature of WiFi 7, at a much lower price point than current WiFi7-capable offerings. As time goes on, we will continue to expand our product line to include more of the latest technologies."

Thanks for great vedio's, Needs help with setting up my MDU, now I am using the ISP modem that plugged RJ11 to it , and it's using the IP 192.168.1.1 which is the UDM default IP, Now I want to setup to make my UDM to be everything with the default IP instead the ISP modem, and just setup the ISP as Internet paypass to UDM and change the ISP to any, also as I know will connect the ISP lan port to UDM wan port is that correct ? Thanks for help

Sorry for the delay. Your message got put in my “needs approval” folder and I didn’t see it til now. Usually if you plug the UDM into a device that has a 192.168.1.1 gateway, the IDM will change its local IP to a different IP. (I think 192.168.2.1. It will show that on the little screen on the UDM. Option 2 is to log into the ISP router and change that subnet to something different.

The two are not even remotely comparable, be it in terms of market reach, product range, or customer base. Therefore, your clickbait title only serves to diminish your credibility.

@ethernetblueprint true but I have a 10gig speed from isp and even if I buy the udm se and a 4 port 10gbe switch I will not get any higher speed than 2.5gbe port from wifi7 ap. It's just bullshit, iam waiting for a enterprise version maybe it will have 10gbe port, when they announce it I will be buying udm se , 2 sfp to rj45 adapter, 4port 10gbe, 2x 3rd party 10gbe to 10gbe poe adapter for 2 wifi 7s, ai pro camera for my street view , g4 pro doorbel for other side of the road, g5 pro for backyard. I have a 20tb exos spare for udm recording, 4 port 10gbe will be 2 wifis 1 10gbe synology nas and last for udm se. Any better tips ? My friend said fuck it and bought reolink 12mp cameras but the ai filters are bad , he can't find any timeline easy.

@@Cemilaws What do you need that speed for over wireless? I'm not trying to be contentious, but it just seems like overkill unless you are in a legitimate corporate environment. What's going on that you can afford to equip your house with 10gig service and equipment but can't afford to run ethernet drops? It's definitely an interesting scenario.
