I just bought one of these recently and I love it. Also would recommend owners of the z flip 3 to look into the features of the phone. There are a ton of cool features with this phone. Like making the mini screen a view finder when taking pictures so you can see what you like.

I have loved this channel since I started watching when the m1 macs came out (and I did buy a mac mini base because I wanted to get back into macs especially now they're cheaper). You have the same joy with the z flip 3 as I do. You hit everything on the head about the productivity aspect and the joy of having essentially a tricorder. I love this phone because I can now fit them in my tiny pockets at work or just see quick notifications on the cover screen when it's sitting on my desk instead of having to light up the whole screen. I've been watching this series (the samsung flip/fold series) since it came out I'm hoping the folding screen holds out that is my only worry but let's hope third time is a charm.

Bought this when contract from s20 plus was almost up. Ok the line or crease through the centre does put some of my friends off, but at same time others and myself don't mind it. It's really nice and compact and gas some well thought features especially with photography/video taking using front mini screen. I'm really impressed and loving it. I purchase a clear plastic case that has hinge protection and the sticker that looks like it shows inside of phone. Battery life fine for me.

The Galaxy Note S8 has been tremendously great to me and for me over that past 4 years If I didn't have to get a new phone instead of getting it fixed a 2nd time I would just keep it, it was and still is a great device in my opinion but the flip does catch my attention and the flipping feature is just a plus to me fits better in a pocket.

I've got the Flip3. And to me its not about what it does when open. Almost any other phone can do what it does or better, and sometimes cheaper. No, its about what it does when closed that makes the difference. And that is being able to put it in my pocket without giving myself a vasectomy every time I sit down. If being compact when you put it away is not your number one top of the list priority, then this phone is not for you.

I have this phone on contract (5G contract with EE) and I love it. Everything about this phone is perfect except the battery of course. 3300 mAh is not enough for a power house of a revolutionary phone like this. I hope they upgrade the battery next time if a new Flip Model 4 is released to a battery capacity of about 3800mAh. With 120hz refresh rate on and 5G Internet connectivity, it is a sure way to drain the battery quickly. The battery of the Z Flip 3 is the only negative thing about this phone. Apart from that it is a beauty 😍❤

I had a Samsung galaxy s9. I saw the advertisement for the Z Flip 3 phone and feel in love with it. Just received my Z flip 3 yesterday I absolutely love it more in person. Very fast and easy to use. The only thing I disliked was there is no way to add memory card in the phone. I wish it was water proof instead of water resistant. But it's still a great phone. The main reason I bought it was because I can put in my back pocket without worrying about me losing or dropping it

It's honestly as water proof as you need it to be. IPX8 means it's rated at 1.5m for 30min, meaning if you keep it under 1.5m of water up to 30min, it's still fine. So splashes next to the sink, taking it into the shower to listen to music/watch videos, or even an accidental drop in a puddle or pool should be totally fine!

My samsung note 9 has served me very well these past four years. Upgraded to this phone and couldn't be any happier, some battery changes and it holds the whole Day and some more even. I really like the functions it makes it more special. I probably will never go back to flat phones if they keep upgrading z flip series. I was an avid Apple user and personally was off put by trying different phone brands due to what I was used to. Push came to shove, and I branched out. Basically, Samsung is king and Motorola phones can go die 😂😂 No really, I was blown away by how many more features these phones have! It was hands down the best phone I've ever had, until a crack appeared on the fold of the phone 2 months after getting it. And then Samsung's technical team decided that it was user fault and voided the warranty, but offered a discount repair price out of "good will". Their forum is full of furious customers worldwide who got exactly the same responses. Everyone is at fault for the crack on the fold of a foldable phone but not Samsung. Last item I will ever be buying from them after over a decade, either an Apple or Google Pixel I think.

To me, the form factor is really the only reason to buy the Flip. You can do better with the "boring" S21 Ultra for the same price (unlocked on ebay). I have an old flip style phone from 2005 that I couldn't get rid of years ago. I take it out from time to time if I want to flip something. If there is another version of the Flip next year, hopefully they put in a larger capacity battery, and for the price, put in the same camera that the ultra uses.

@Marisela Quintero I kept it. It's great. Really compact and light when folded. Like, where's it at? Lol. Only once got hot. Turned off for 10 min to make sure all background apps closed. Then no problem. Read instructions. These are new batteries and have a setting to stop charging at 85% for better battery life. I am very pleased with it. 👍🤗🤳

just know the risks, personally the only downsides for me is the short battery and as someone w acrylic nails i have to be way more careful to not dent the screen. at the end of the day its up to you but i love mine so much and being able to keep it closed out in public and able to control music on the cover screen makes it perfect. but the main risk id say is the screen going black in the middle, ive had mine for over 3 months and no problems yet but ik people started to get a crack later on and it slowly became a whole black bar in the center.

The only thing that kills it for me is the battery life, other than that it's a pretty cool take on the "flip" niche. Makes way more sense than a phone that opens to reveal another phone. I love Apple but their decisions sometimes are mystifying - they clearly have in-button TouchID from the iPad Air and Mini...why not bring that to the iPhone? They've moved to USB-C on every device at this point except for the iPhone...why?

My Z Flip 3 phone broke after just 2 months, never dropped and never scratched. Opened it up randomly and noticed it was cracked all along the bend, worst part is Samsung claims its physical damage and doesn't like to repair their defective screens under warrantly. I'm watching this on my ZFlip3 not even sure why I watched this but dad to dad, good video. :) One thing: the closed mode only allows Samsung Pay (not Googly Pay) which is annoying but understandable. What's not okay is that the closed mode Pay requires your thumb scan, doesn't allow other password systems, and I don't want to give my biometrics to a private company. Small annoyance but great phone in general; I think of the battery as 'right sized' and when you said sports car, I thought hey, it's the Mazda Miata of current phones.

I use Sandisk usb-c flash drive formatted in exfat filesystem to backup my iPad pro 2020 but transferring files from iPad to the flash drive is very very slow. I don't want to format it in apfs file system because it won't be readable on windows pcs. Is there a solution for faster file transfer or Are there certain types of flash drives or external ssds that can make me transfer files faster?

How does someone with only one phone switch? I am deep in the apple ecosystem. So i think about my phone… My cloud storage, my 217 passwords saved on iPhone, my apple news subscription, my Apple Arcade, Apple Music, and seamless transitions from iPhone to ipad to laptop with home pods. HOW can i replace all these things to use on a samsung flip? I’ve come to the realization that I really want the flip. But, I truly feel stuck in the apple walled garden.

You can use 2 mobiles, iphone and android at the same time. PS: i use both iphone 11 and galaxy S10+

I use two phones as well, so I can get an Android and an iPhone. Both have pross and cons but TBH having both is the perfect solution!

@@darthkai8242 i had a zflip 3 for a little over 7 months and during that timeframe it cracked and formed a crease right along the fold. no other damage to the phone since i took perfect care of it; fast forward a few months later i’m attempting to switch phones because of this crack and crease not due to my poor caretaking and i’m told that my 600 dollar trade in value that the phone would have is no longer available due to this crease. 600 dollars down the drain due to a manufacturing defect. and as for the overheating, my zflip 3 would continuously overheat during videocalls and shut off apps or even the entire phone at random times. the only way to mediate the issue was to turn off motion smoothness disabling the 120hz refresh rate and closing all background apps. ontop of that, utilizing the picture in picture feature would cause the phone to overheat even quicker. it’s an unfinished product and i will never recommend such a failure to any of my peers because of the mediocre issues.

I have software and usability issues with my Flip 3. My 12 mini was much easier to hold. But I still won't return or sell my Flip 3. It's great for emus. My Game Boy Super Advance SP.

So basically if you treat your phone decently it won’t break on you, sadly there will be ones with defects & if possible return it the same day to the store that you bought it at. The longer you wait the bigger the chance of you being blamed because let’s be honest some ppl really do be effing up phones easily due to mishandling. There’s a bunch of vids up on yt dedicated to showing you ways to have better bat life & I’ve seen plenty of durability tests being done, the Z Flip 3 holds up to A LOT. I’m currently on iPhone 11 & heavily contemplating this phone after not having an android since 2014 takes me back to when I had flip phones.
