You would think, being a resident of Florida, that PBD and even some of these other guys would be aware that DeSantis cannot legally announce a presidential run while he is governor under Florida law. Apparently, the legislature is working on changing it, but the law still stands and until it's changed, DeSantis can't announce a bid unless he simultaneously resigns as governor and he's not gonna do that unless he's 110% certain he'd at least win the primary and with the polls looking the way they are, he's nowhere close to being certain. Aside from that, I'm going to thoroughly enjoy the GOP primary. I've got a pantry full of popcorn ready to watch the bloodbath.

Get those cartels stuck in stakeholder hell..then they will get greedy and sec/IRS get em. I think it would be a mistake for DeSantis to run. I really like him... that's why. Trump will drag him through the mud during the primaries. DeSantis needs to be our 2028 candidate, because he won't take the primaries. That being said, I truly believe that the only GOP candidate that could lose to Biden is Trump. As much as we love him, the left hates him. I'm loyal to the USA not a particular candidate. A 2nd term for the Biden Administration could screw this country up beyond repair. So as much as I'd like to see Trump as our president again, I worry that it won't happen. I think DeSantis is a better bet, but since Trump is running, he's going to have to sit this one out.

Polls show that majority of Americans, including in Florida are not ok with a 6 week ban. The 15 week ban he had was the sweet spot but he overstepped.
