Rosanna marie he did that to protect Alison! It was at the point they were going to call Alison to the stand that he jumped up and confessed. And sadly...after the scene in the bar in S3, Helen now knows that’s who he was protecting! She felt like an idiot.

That is not true then why did Helen ask Noah if they could get back together after his father died? Helen and the Lawyer were doing some sketchy things to get Allison implicated and Noah free because they thought Joanie was Scotty Lockhart's kid not Noah's or even Cole's despite Allison having already told Noah the truth before the murder.

lol cause he moved from New York where his father left him a house to California where Helen and his kids relocated for Vik's new job and to be near his parents. Noah also surrendered any entitlement to alimony he had with Helen in their divorce settlement before he went to jail to partly protect her and his kids' financial fortune. Had the Lockharts not necessarily Cole but the rest of the family knew Helen ran Scotty over they would almost certainly go after her family's wealth in a civil suit.

His guilt over abandoning them is causing him to project! Also...he did a stint in prison to protect both Helen & Alison. His reward: Alison divorces HIM because she got pregnant with Cole's baby (Joanie) while still married to Noah; Helen moves to LA with the kids to be with Vik and move on with her life W/O him (his fault he abandoned her and them).

Wayne Hoxit jeez, when my teenagers are bickering with one another....I sound the same way (and I’m not dealing with a loved ones terminal diagnosis...or trying to make a baby when I don’t want one.) I think Helen deserves a little slack. Also...how does Maura do that...tiny inflections in her voice...so understated...yet so effective!!

Ah, I know what conversation you mean now... he said "it's our baby" more like: The baby is a Lockhardt, I think, because back then everyone thought it was Noah's child and Scott knew the truth because he showed up at Cole's place the night they slept together. Also Alison never slept with Scotty as you can tell from the conversation they had right before he died. I remember him saying that she slept with every one in town and asking, why not him.

I don't buy Allison's mother's story she wasn't raped otherwise she could have gone to Police after she had Allison with a dna test to prove it was that guy's daughter. Also how did that guy and his current wife even contact Allison's mother after so many years?
