From 1.0 there were two major threads that were not yet to be explored. One was Gelmorra, and one was Allag. 2.0 team decided on going with Allag but it's crazy to think that there could have been a huge emphasis on Gelmorra. As a Duskwight main I kind of ponder the "what if" in my mind from time to time. I mean the fact that the Palace of the Dead was built by the Gelmorran itself just raises the curiosity.

This was a nice lore breakdown. I hope the elementals will play a bigger role in future patches. Aside from being mentioned in passing, they've been relatively subdued throughout all of the story up to Endwalker.

Yes!! I was thinking about this too! Would love to see more from them, as we know they are incredibly powerful. They were unfortunately weakened by the 7th Umbral Calamity though :( Hoping we can see them regain their power back. Thanks btw!

I read through some of this in Encyclopedia Eorzea recently, though there were definitely some new nuggets here (thank you for those!). I will say that I find it endlessly funny when there's a trait of people/animals living in caves, or underground and this somehow makes them darker. Most species that live solely in environments like that actually have the opposite happen and become paler-skinned because they don't need the pigment to protect them from the sun!

Yeah it was fun to do some research outside of the encyclopedia to find those little nuggets for sure! Yeah the whole darker thing I think I meant to say like blue ish, grey skin similar to pale due to no light. Oops hehe
