If you export brushes that you really like in photoshop as an abr file, you can drag that onto the CSP brush panel and it will import those brushes with all of the settings you had applied previously in photoshop :)

For me, I'm using Marc Brunet's free brushes. They were my first and really they are super fun to use. I don't like to have more brushes than what I will use but I'll download yours and see what I can incorporate to my set of brushes.

I totally agree! My brushes are there for everyone to try out, but I'm a big supporter of working with limited tools. In my experience it actually makes things easier and a more effective workflow. In all honesty 95% of the time I just use the default G-pen or the soft edge brush. For that extra 5% there's the other ones! Also feel free to modify them to your heart's content! Thanks for watching Zekromite!

You're such an ispiration Mercurial. I like the way you explain things and how much dedication you put into creating these videos. I am being frustrated lately due to not being confortable with my brushes, pen pressure and my graphic tablet, but I am going to apply your tips. By the way, I just discovered your channel and your "professional artist career" and was wondering how you did get into it. In a nutsheel, your attitude and behaviour influenced me with positivity and I am just curious about your portfolio and art experiences. I wish you the best Manu!🙏
@ManuMercurial2 жыл бұрын
Kandal thanks so much for your kind words and for watching the video, I really appreciate it! And I feel you, I have gone through 5 different tablets and every time it was a struggle. But, being able to control the pressure curve for the entire program AND each brush setting's curve individually is what saved me. Don't be afraid of going in and modify them with a goal in mind, until you get exactly what you want! As for my work as an animator, I recently recorded a video of the 10 most important lessons I learnt going from a student to working in the industry. I just need some free time to edit it, but I will definitely post it here. TLDR: my story is I first picked up a pencil when I was 19, I felt I was really behind from everyone else, so I avoided drawing at all cost cause I was afraid of what others would think of my sucky drawings. Then on 2016 a friend was directing a big 2D animation project and they needed all the hands they could get. I did a test and got accepted without a demo reel, I had never done 2D animation before and it was a harsh experience to learn while working professionally but I fell deeply in love with 2D animation! I kept working in that studio and drawing a lot in my off-work hours. People did cringe with my drawings, but I didn't give a F.. anymore cause I knew what my goal was. And the rest is a bit of luck, and a lot of effort! But I can tell you, from the bottom of my heart, I feel incredibly grateful to wake up every day to work on what I truly love. That being said, earning a living by making cartoons IS A PRIVILEGE, and as such we need to work hard to earn it, Every! Single! Day! 💪 I hope this can help! I will go deeper into this story in my video. Thanks for your message!

I have a question, I have brushes that aren't exactly native CSP brushes (.abr) and they're basically wash brushes I have no qualms in their effects they have translated perfectly in CSP as they were in PS but the only problem is in PS when I click on the brush it shows a preview of the wash and how it would look like if i put it in but in CSP it only shows in outline form and no preview of the brush. This bothers me a lot since it's a wash brush I need to see a preview of it (just like in PS) to check if it it's a good fit i've been playing around the settings but couldn't find it in CSP is there a way to show a preview for these types of brushes? I haven't finished your video yet but hopefully it'll cover this problem that I am having with CSP. Thank you for the tutorial!
