You Should Pick Regidrago (And Here's Why)

Regidrago is an awesome Pokemon but most people are talking about Regieleki instead. I want to show how strong Regidrago can be, and how it has a surprising amount of movesets it can run. Hopefully I can convince you to pick Regidrago over Regieleki in the Crown Tundra DLC!

You consistently blow me away with your strats. Ring Target is an item introduced in Gen 5 over 10 years ago, and this is honestly the first time I've ever seen it being used to some decent effect. Even when Fairies were initially introduced, I never considered Ring Target against the new type with an immunity. Absolutely amazing stuff!

Honestly, the same could be said for Regieleki. Both of them don't need coverage because they hit so absurdly hard with their stabs. They don't need to be able to take on fairy and ground types because that's what teammates are for

@@conorb.1901 while that is true, regieleki is not very good in double battles. it's extremely flimsy, so even if it manages to take one hit it definitely can't take two. so regieleki is completely walled by ground, its special coverage being only ancient power and hyper beam.

@@zac2155 I feel like straight damage isn't going to be Eleki's strong suit in doubles. I'm opting for electroweb instead, as speed drops will start adding up, and with it being the fastest pokemon period, it is almost always going to get an electroweb off while still doing decent damage in the process. Plus, Eleki pairs very well with Tapu Fini who scares a lot of ground types off.

@Baseeruddin Syed I can't tell you the last time I saw a Dugtrio. And my point still stands that Eleki doesn't need to take on ground types. That's why you have teammates. Fini is very scary for most of the ground types in the format right now.

Actually, in theory you could get both, just create another profile on your switch, get the other regi and transfer it with Pokemon home to your main profile (I believe you don't need to pay for that) this also works with spectrier and glastrier

Regidrago gets walled by bulky Steel types and fairy, it trys to do what zygarde dose but zygarde dose it better since it has thousand Arrows which hits every thing good

you have to keep in mind that regieleki hits water types (one of the best types in the game both defensively and offensively)and flying types (extremely prevalent in the gen 8 meta). also electroweb is an incredibly good support move that deals a fuck ton of damage becaus eof its ability, as well as being a very good dynamax candidate. dual screens, rapid spin and also explosion, for obvious reasons. regidrago also has pretty bad coverage moves too, with its signature being a special move, even though its physical. also, regarding your lighting rod point, it's a pretty stupid point, because kyogre is still one of the best pokemon in both singles and doubles, but also gets countered by storm drain and water absorb.

While I agree Dragon Energy is strong, I just prefer Versatility, and Regieleki has more it can do, it Can run Special all electric, mixed, physical, it also has really good support in Dual Screens, and rapid spin if you’re playing with hazard or just want to be even faster.

To be fair, you can run physical, mixed or special Regidrago, as well as dual screens. Its not nearly as good of a dual screens setter, but I mean it's an option. At least he has dragon dance for some sort of set-up sweep.

However it still lacking in decent physical moves, Regieleki at least Gets Acrobatics to cover Bulky Grass types on a physical set, Regidrago only really has Hammer arm to cover steel types, which is good power but drops speed and passed that Fire Fang. But I think Dual Screens + a Dragon Move could be a solid set for it for sure.

While the video talks about how Regidrago can be very good, I'm just going to point out that this means Regieleki is in no way bad. Regieleki can take advantage of being the fastest Pokemon in the game and consider not running scarf, it can run choice specs to spam Electro Ball that's also boosted by Transistor and even by Electric Terrain if you're willing to run Tapu Koko as well. It still might want webs/Tailwind if the opponent has other fast picks though, and it isn't going to survive two good hits if it happens to get double-attacked in Double Battles. Electro Ball only hits one opponent, but has double the max PP of Dragon Energy which could be shut down by Pressure's increased PP usage/pokemon like Galarian Slowking or Gigantamax Duraludon with moves that can lower your PP. I think Regidrago would be better for double battles due to all the synergies, but Regieleki might be better in Single battles as it's lesser bulk is less of a problem if there isn't the possibility of getting attacked twice in one turn.

For those of you that want both Regiedrago AND Regieleki: - I think you can replay the game by simply creating another account, pick it the second time and transfer it using pokemon HOME.... - But, you can also just trade for it in pokemon HOME’s GTS. A lot of people are trading them for sought after non-legendary mons. I traded for ALL Regis with just Lileeps. Maybe now you need something like Crobats as Lileep is more available.

Drago is the one of the new regis that gets focus energy. I've been doing an Adamant Focus Energy/Razor Claw set with Scale Shot, Fire Fang and Thunder Fang. Thunder for Fini, Fire for ice types, and Scale Shot still is a 130 base power move in dynamax. It helps speed Drago up when you want to pump his stats into defenses, and the constant crits bypass those pesky intimidates.

I think the star of your first team is actually that Confei. She is so versatile and synergize with those powerful Pokemons so well with high priority support. It can heal so your Draco can keep up his power , it can set trick room, it can trigger weakness policy on your Moltres while healing back decent amount too. It'd be a nightmare to fight against w/o fairy type in opponent's team.

i always liked Regidrago more and i thought the Choice Scarf was the only good set on it. but thanks to you i have another set to destroy people with; with my new favorite regi. P.S. coincidently like the Dragon Fang (1.2x Dragon moves)+Dragon's Maw+STAB combo. i had a similar set i was using with Regieleki: Magnet(1.2x Electric moves)+Transistor+STAB combo with the moves Thunder Cage, Thunderbolt, Electro Ball, Hyper Beam with a Modest Nature with 252 evs in Sp.Attk, 96 evs in HP, and 160 evs in Speed its actually pretty effective in Smogon's format in showdown. i almost never use Hyper Beam i guess its just there if i'm stuck against a ground type but i usually use Thunder Cage followed by Thunderbolt or Electro Ball whatever is more effective.

This is great with tailwind if you can get rid of the damn fairy and also it's great on trick room ou Imo cause the meta is so fast sometimes that it being base 80 min speed still works OK for trick room and it can work well with other trickroomers like stakataka to delete fairys with gyro ball and slow teleport form regenerator trickroom slowbro idk I just think alot of people aren't giving it the credit it deserves (and if he covered theses facts in the video no I haven't finished watching it while commenting this lol)

I made a whole Regis team recently and here is my Regidrago set. Shiny Regidrago Stats: 252 Hp, 252 Sp. Atk, 4 Spd Nature: Modest Item: Chesto Berry Ability: Dragon's Maw Moves: Dragon Energy Ancient Power Hyper Beam Rest This set works pretty well for me, but honestly, I would have given this mon Flamethrower instead of Hyper Beam if it could learn said move.

The attack animation for Regidrago using Dragon Energy is cool. It seems like most people run a special-attacking set for Regidrago. I don't think I've seen anyone use its physical moves before this video. Dragon Claw, Outrage, Hammer Arm, Fire Fang, Crunch, Explosion, Thunder Fang, Breaking Swipe, Scale Shot, and Dragon Dance.

you can get both by making a 2nd save on another profile,then send it to the main account with home,but you would have to replay the whole main story,but since we're in a pandemic,we have a lot of free time

What I like about the two new regi’s is that they are both very strong and have STAB boosting abilities but they both have the Caveat of having not much coverage and only one type immune to their STAB moves.

I only use dragon-type Pokemon (plus Charizard) tbh, I use Noivern with Tailwind, and use Regidrago invested in Sp.Atk holding wise glasses and his moveset is: Dragon Pulse, Ancient Power, Hyper Beam, and Dragon Energy. Noivern sets up tailwind to give him speed and allows him to nuke anything that isn't a fairy. Even Steel-types gets nuked pretty hard. It's easy to use a pokemon that is instantly popular because if its insane stats but using a pokemon you actually like despite whatever it's stats are what separates casuals from real trainers

Tailwind and a healing move Pokemon with a choice specs regidraco with it's ability and modest nature and with full ev and iv in special attack,full on hp and 4 in speed. It's good.

I picked Regidrago. Not because of design or stats or anything like that. It's because I nicknamed the Regis by their Clover (that one fangame with the dead Regis) counterparts. Rust, Erode, and Melt. I picked Regidrago because of this name theme. And My Regidrago was named Balmung, after one of the many names that the sword Sigfried used to slay Fafnir. Thought it fit well with the theme. I just couldn't come up with one for Regileki.

I run a physical Assault Vest set on Regidrago. Max Attack, max Special Defence with Dragon Claw, Breaking Swipe / Outrage, Hammer Arm and Fire Fang. It’s got me to master ball tier so happy with it so far

The only reason I would pick regieleki is because you can get a move with 218.4 base power and then your doubled special attack. Magnet -item for regieleki set up elec terrain before hand and then rising voltage

I paired Regidrago with Regieleki and Ribombee because both can help Regidrago act faster than the opponent. Also Ribombee is one of the fastest Trick users and that’s important because I am afraid of Psychic Surge foiling my plans.

I also use Comfey, but I send out Carbink first to Trick Room and then Guard Split with Regidrago. I also run a mixed Weakness Policy Regidrago, so I can either set that off with Carbink's Misty Explosion or Comfey's Draining Kiss (after a Guard Split, both moves only do 50 damage max to Regidrago with the way I've EV trained them, so the +2 easily makes up for that). Then I can just keep healing up with Comfey (:

Over half health to a Ferrothorn, with a resisted hit, form a spread move. If that won't convince people of just how powerful this thing is I don't know what will.

Electric types are some of my favorite, next to normal and ground. Regidrago is oddly designed and not symmetrical. Regieleki has an amazing shiny. (most shinies become pink or a slightly lighter color, which is ugly and boring) It's ability makes electric attacks 50% stronger It can learn Electroball, which is stronger if the user is faster then the opponent. Regieleki is the fastest Pokémon, use Electroball with the 50% attack increase and it's a Beast.
