JTT idea: Fin Size for Big Air. Large fins allow more grip, but seem to have more resistance when trying to rip off the water for the jump... do you notice a difference on takeoff with fin size? what size do most pros ride for boosting?

Great content - love it and would be super keen for more types of this content! I'm interested in a Double-Tip Tuesday in the future 😉 More tips I'd like to see : - how to stick your edge in choppy conditions - how to approach a session in gusty wind (I'm always too nervous to progress when I'm not sure how much the gust is going to be) - how to practise NOT over rotating in back and front rotations - more POV footage of you doing your SEND, HOP, EDGE, POP so we can get more of a cockpit perspective of your timings. (I'm slowly getting this but struggling when it comes to different sizes) - how to jump higher on BIG kites and the correct position to keep them in the window (is low better or high better?) - saftey tips for example (Rou Charters' words) If snow hikers know the procedure and have the equipment to save a buddy in an avalanche then do we as kiters know what to do if you turn around to see your kite buddy attached to a powered kite and face down unconscious in the water...? It would just be cool to see what competition savvy big air riders like you guys would do in these worst case scenarios and help share some kind of procedure that could help one of us some day 🙏 Keep the content cuming on the tips.... 😐

Tore a pec and year later ruptured a bicep wakeboarding. Wear an impact vest no all ways for xtra flotation in case I have to swim back crippled.

When shit gets fucked up and you're doing some gnarly pack down, the extra flotation means you don't end up tangling your legs in lines while you kick to tread water - instead you just chill and sort your gear with legs relaxed underwater. Can you tell I've taken a few foil kites for a swim? ;-)

Wearing the impact vest under the wet suit is an interesting idea. Because whenever I wear it over my wet suit and put my harness above it, both harness and vest just slide up, which causes a lot of discomfort and one time seriously hindered my upwind riding. So as temporary solution I put the vest above the harness, but not sure if this is any safe.

Hi Mike! i love your vids. I have been dreaming about impact vest for a long time. I want to wear it under a wetsuit like you suggest. But I'm afraid of the inner line and seam (they can irritate the skin). I once saw someone wear an impact vest over a tank top and only then put on a wetsuit. I have questions: maybe you know impact vest without inner stitching, seam? or suggest a shirt! I do not have the opportunity to go to the store and try on, we do not have stores. Same shit as you bro! Landed hard and couldn't breath because I was winded so hard. Since then I've always used a vest and now feel strange "hitting" the water without it. I recently got the same impact vest as you and its the best one I've owned. Also, love the tip about using it under your wetsuit, I'll give that a try in my next session! Besos!!!

@@ramezsamir7811 feels a little strange at first and can make zipping your suit tough if it’s a tight fit, but other than that it’s really good. Especially as it really does help stop your harness from riding up to under your armpits!!
