It stood out to me when you said for the advanced riders not to turn too upwind and kill your speed!! In the beginning as well when you talked about keeping the board between me and the kite! I only took 2 lessons at 3 hours each and afterwards bought all my gear and have been learning from friends and KZbin videos and watching this video again has revealed alot more that I didn't understand to begin with! Thanks for the great content!

Awesome vid! You know I`m practicing. One thing I`m trying to figure out is what kite size to what wind is optimal for creating enough speed and power. Is it just pushing the biggest kite to wind that I can keep on edge considering having a good sweetspot? I make notes of my sessions to check what is the most opt size, because winds vary a lot. And I kite from 8 to 45ish knts with kites from 5 to 19meters and every one needs a bit different timing. Most days are 14 to 24 knts . Tips much appreciated. Soon I`ll have the board mount to really get going 🤘

Thanks too much for sharing this advice with the kite community, you really are pushing kiting to other lvl. Keep on doing it! Some days when I'll have some money I'll join you on a big air clinic

Need to addstrict communication to the second kiter on how to raise the kite 'without' the kite pushing the launcher backwards or over - into a kitemare... And as above ' Towards the water' not land obstacles.. Reake it and it will be Legendary for 'all time'

Thanks for the review Mike! Super helpful content as always 🙏 The previous model was a total mess. I got both toe pinkies destroyed from the lack of padding. Read it was a common complaint among riders. I actually sold the fusion 5 with the pads due to disappointment 😢 Maybe time to retry these pads with this new released version cause they look sweet ❤

The core comfort is just rebranded of cheaper straps, really do not like the extreme pricing of a product just because they put the core logo on. Check out the concept x if you pads are breaking half off replacements compared to the exact same pad from core even same print on the pad. Btw i ride the comfort.

I do lose the feeling of the kite while swinging under it from time to time and it tend to stall instead of concluding the rotation...what should I do to avoid it? is it because I don't re-direct the leading edge enough before initiating it? thanks

This is the best explanation for heli loops I have seen yet. Even better than your first one about heli loops. I had never heard the part about sending it before the heli loop to achieve the swing, but it makes total sense. Can't wait to try this. I've been trying single heli loops for a while without much success, they just don't give me the floaty effect they should, but I wasn't sending it and swinging below. I also was cranking the bar really hard. Thank for the video Mike, this is awesome.

What's the minimum hight to try doing a second heli in order to have enough time for the second swing and to be sure that the kite will catch me? Thanks to your previous videos I can do confident send jumps with single heli and around 14-15m jumps. I wait a lot and the kite passes me way back on the loop. Im still scared to pull the loop sooner and try to pull another one, because I am not yet sure of the outcome. Thanks for the video, big fan here, niaaaw 🤙
@gethighwithmike
@gethighwithmike 24 күн бұрын
If you're in steady wind, I'd say minimum you want to reach is 14m high at the peak (on the Surfr app). You could then pull your first heli loop at around 6m and your second one at around ~1.5m. If you're catching a gust, you can do it at low heights (even under 10m). When you catch a gust the kite turns/flies/responds much faster, which is a great feeling!
@KlausP86
@KlausP86 24 күн бұрын
Kite pushes the starter is one thing, but also not enough power can get you in serious trouble. The big mistake is that people position themselfs with the bar fully pulled in. Slight drop of the wind and they can't react so the kite flies uncontrollable backwards. Especially when they didn't stand 100% the first time.
