Greetings from across the pond I’ve been struggling with my guitar tone for awhile thanks to you and this new found coloring of my tone I am absolutely delighted and inspired every time I pick up my guitar thank you so much

Made by VVco, andertons occasionally has them. Theybare basically bought toy cars, gutted and with a pedal’s circuit stuffed inside them. I have the Batmobile boost😊

...a guitar that resonates (pause, chuckle) with you... Nice!

That was a GREAT lesson! We don't hear anyone talking about the subtle uses of effects! Thanks, Chappers! Time to dig out those old pedals, and do something new with them! I hope they still work.

Another way to get a FX blend knob in your rig is to use the Jet Pedals Red Sea. An awesome utility pedal that allows you to do several cool tricks, but one of the coolest is exactly what you demonstrate in this video. Setting up your FX loop with a blend knob to craft the tone you are seeking. Really love the ideas in the video Rob, especially the idea of putting the Wah in the FX loop. I'll be implementing that this weekend!

I’m going to have to get me an RD1 or BD2 someday! Obviously used but I remember always wanting one! Martin Kidd definitely did a banging job on that! Great video rob!

*All roads lead to shred these days lol.* In that, I have a one of a kind sound due to phrasing of staccato, note changes and having invented my own technique no one has ever used which I call dy-peggios; it's sort of cheap and simple, but when you blend the technique into more traditional note flows, it will completely reinvent your playing style, sound and composing into something entirely different from what you've ever known. *I need to just upload it and let the world go wild exploiting it, but that also means first using it in a signature piece of music to avoid idiots from claiming something I've done behind closed doors for 20 years as their own.*

There's a song by Dir en grey that maybe uses a similar sound like that, "Amber" last song on the album Vulgar Cool to have an idea how a sound like this can be achieved outside of a studio!

I have 3 amps and none of them as an FX loop. I need to buy another with FX loop. Such a great way to use it.

Great idea. Now I just need to learn to play well enough to have any kind of a sound others want to hear….

Before the vid starts, you need your own pickups, and only play after letting your guitar fall out of tune slightly while you were contemplating practicing.

I believe how you play is way more important than how you sound. I have it on even level. I play like shEEEt and sound equal to that.
