Rob does this age me? I first watched this lesson when you had a full head of hair, a Orange stack and hand sync'd to a dog barking. It was a great lesson then and a great lesson now. So grateful that you've always there for beginners 🙏🙏🙏

Hey chaps, just a random dude from America but wanna say thank you for everything. Been watching you since i was about 13 and i am now 24. About a decade of enjoying you like a freind. Best wishes from America man❤

That moment when you realize you own the cool tone that your salivating over. That it's still in the box. That you snobbed it and put it in a closet because you couldn't believe it would sound good. And now it sounds this good. Good on you fellas!

I know it's not a new video but definitely one of the best gear videos of 2024. Rob is a monster player and that white T-style is cooler than Fender out today. That "Gallows in the Morning" was SICK.

I really appreciate what you do sir. I’m just a guy from Kentucky the same age as you that just decided a few years ago to make an effort to play guitar. When I run across someone as yourself that does a wonderful job at explaining things, I get really inspired to try harder. Thank you so much for that. Good day sir

The first scale I consciously learned from a book was mixolydian. I was quite disappointed to discover that it didn't sound mexican at all. I fear the drugs were a lot better back then.

Been playing guitar for 30 years and Chappers is the best I’ve seen at explaining the major scale and how it unlocks the modes - just wish I’d had access to this stuff when I first started playing! 😂

The minor at the end being natural minor. Great scale. Melodic and harmonic are useful too, but not used as often.

Why in 2025 would you give the tuning notes .. ppl did this in the 80s on vhs instruction tapes 😂

i am a total novice here why is there no diagram of the scale , 99 % of this i did not understand but the scale sounds amazing, everything goes so quick it just does not sink in . any advice would be much appreciated , please remember i am a total novice . Ps it gets worse than that im left handed too 🤣

it's the major scale of E. If you want to follow along, try slowing the video down. I understand you like to rely on diagrams or tabs, but try to just copy Rob and repeat. 😊

it may not have been a fan, but Eddie did this with a drill. The electric motor is the common factor!

E major is E-F#-G#-A-B-C#-D# So the first note of the scale shape on the A string as demonstrated would be frets: 2(B), 4(C#), 6(D#), 7(E), 9(F#), 11(G#), 12(A), this would give you your 7 modes 👍

This is not about a certain scale as much as about an approach to scales if I understand it correctly. I could be in any drop tuning as well, and start any scale in the 4. Box fitting to the drop tuning-drone ur in as root. That’s what I’m doin at least 😅 but still struggle to keep the scales “accessable if wanted” usually I mix stuff up or even stay away natural minor (just too comfy with it 😭) 😂😂
@PlasticCyborgКүн бұрын
My hack would be finding a really good distortion pedal with a good gain structure, an overdrive in front of it as a boost, a Boss GE-7 after the distortion for super versatile tone shaping, and then bypass the front of the amp and go into the effects return to get the full effect of using the pedal as a preamp. And those that have a Katana 100w version are able to do this because they have an effects loop, but unfortunately the 50w version doesn't. But, if your amp has an effects loop, it means you can plug your main signal directly into the effects return to bypass the preamp section of your amp and go straight into the power amp.
