I used to agree with Roy on Ferguson and the manner of his leaving Utd. As I've gotten older, I see it more from Ferguson's side. Business is business. He always ruled with an iron fist and made sure no player was above him or the club. That philosophy made them a trophy machine for 20 years. And when Roy got the boot, the team moved on and kept winning. As it always did when great players left during Ferguson's era. Keane forced United to break the wage barrier in the late 90s. If they hadn't, he would have walked to Milan, Madrid or Munich. He had zero loyalty to the club beyond his contractual obligation. Which is fair enough. Business is business.
