🌱 | Benefits of Reflection:
🔸Formation of opinion in a conscious way, without being carried away by the ideas of third parties in an automatic way;
🔸 Opportunity to rethink attitudes and improve them;
🔸 Recognize mistakes and find ways to fix them;
🔸If you know and understand how your emotions affect your behavior;

◽Tips for having a good reflection:
🔹 BOOK A TIME FOR YOURSELF
Reflection time should be a moment of your own, where you can connect with your thoughts without being interrupted. You can associate it with a prayer, a ritual, having a relaxing tea, lighting an incense, getting ready to sleep, whatever you prefer, the important thing is that it is your moment, in which you can concentrate on yourself with peace of mind.
🔹 QUESTION YOURSELF AND SEEK ANSWERS WITHIN YOURSELF
Have you ever stopped to question yourself because of the choices you make? Know that doing this exercise can be very positive and help you make sure what you really want for your life. Taking advantage of this moment of reflection for this will allow you to separate your true desires from the impositions of third parties and the desire to please and be accepted. Remembering that this should always be done naturally, without putting yourself as inferior or incapable of making decisions.
🔹 REMEMBER THE THINGS YOU FELT GRATEFUL FOR
An essential part of daily reflection involves thanking God, the universe, or whatever makes sense to you so that you recognize how many good things happened in your day and appreciate them. This is important because the human brain has a natural tendency to place greater emphasis on problems, so if nothing is done, it will end up overlooking all the good things that happened to it. Giving thanks is fantastic, because it broadens your perception of all that is good.
🔹 LEAVE GUILT AND JUDGMENTS AWAY
Blaming yourself or judging yourself when reflecting on the experiences you've lived won't help you grow, on the contrary, it will create limiting ideas that could compromise your development. In that sense, always keep in mind that you are a human being, that making mistakes is part of the evolution process, and that is not an excuse for you not to do your best, but a statement of reality.
🔹 MAKE POSITIVE AFFIRMATIONS
A detail to be considered in your reflections is the way in which you will expose these ideas to yourself, as it is essential that you adopt a positive attitude, which encourages you to value the good side of things. That way, instead of moaning about a problem, tell yourself that no matter how challenging it seems, you know you have what it takes to solve it. Remember that it's not what goes into your mouth that defiles you, it's the words that come out of it.
🔹 REMEMBER YOUR TRUE NATURE
Lastly, it is very important that you always remember your true nature, what is within you. Leaving aside titles and possessions, to focus on who you are at your core. Thus, when you identify your true self, in a pure way, you will know that you are free of limitations, that you can build the reality you want, always being faithful to your principles and values.
Adopting the habit of reflecting and maintaining an internal dialogue will allow you to live more consciously, opening doors for you to create the reality in which you want to live.

A reminder: Stoics are not emotionless people as the media inteprets them to be. They are individuals who do their best to live life to the fullest with happiness, not allowing emotions to govern their intelligence, participate to do good within their community and appreciating the small things they have. And more beneath the iceberg. Practices might involve walking in the cold with light clothing, and coming back to a warm home to appreciate the things you have. Some few things I learned whilst reading stoic books 🔥

Unfortunately, mediocrity is encouraged and common amongst our generation. Achievement is scorned while vices are put upon a pedestal as a cheap replacement for it. Embracing difficult tasks will always bring you closer to your ideal self.
@fatconnor7284
@fatconnor7284 Жыл бұрын
@@NightCrydeFM With today's prevalence of video games, binge watching shows, porn, etc. today's youth has much less motivation for real world pursuits. Even just 50 years ago, the average man (and at that time, increasingly women) were ambitious and hardworking. College was only an option for the wealthy. Everyone worked hard to forge out the best career they could. Things were competitive. Now, government assistance allows the poor to attend university. The job market is better than ever, with many industries having a serious shortage of workers and over ten million non-disabled working age Americans without employment and not even searching for work. The world is the least competitive it has ever been. Complacency is at an all time high. Think about how many incredibly motivated young men there were coming out of the generation that experienced the great depression. Nowadays, to have that motivation is considered weird. If you are even just a little bit hard working, you are already ahead of 90% of today's youth. It's easier than it's ever been before.

In the embrace of the siren's shadow, I sit, absorbing the hum of the world. Conversations swirl, modern life's ebb and flow, Yet to ancient echoes, my ears are unfurled. This ambient hour, a bridge through time, Draws a line from bustling cafes to Roman prime. In a time when many shy from depth and seek the surface, I find solace, purpose, in the stoic's steady purpose. Amidst brewed beans and fleeting screen glances, My soul anchors to wisdom's vast expanses. In this corner, where past and present intertwine, I embrace the age-old quest to refine.

Бро, а в чем христианство превосходит стоицизм?
@searcher_bee
@searcher_bee Жыл бұрын
@meter_reader
@meter_reader Жыл бұрын
