And the city used to be so green before with palm trees etc., They’re started to regrow those in the cities. The rural and village area is jst insanely green with massive coconut and palm trees. I'm from Kenya and I did my university studies in the US. Every Sunday night, those beggars and liars aka non-profit organizations used to show starving African children and tell ridiculous stories about them with slogans like " with $20 a month, less than a dollar a day" you can feed an African child, they were ridiculous. My Rwandese friend used to laugh at me whenever they featured the so called starving kids in Kenya.

Even these same stereotypes is also being labelled to west Africa and north Africa......in Nigeria now for example......... Nigeria's weather is very diverse due to the geographical location it's located...... Nigeria is located in the middle between the central African region and the west Africa region which makes it very different from other west Africa countries......in Nigeria.....the northern Nigeria region is very hot doing summer but doing hammattan it's always cold....... especially the middle belt region of nigeria is the coldest region in nigeria.......for example Jos the capital city of plateau State in the middle belt region of nigeria has same chilly cold vibes like London doing snow time.......the usually where jackets all the time......the lowest coldest temperatures ever recorded in Jos city is 6 degrees......we taught Jos was the coldest until we discover another state in thesame region which is Taraba state.......gembu in Taraba state has recorded the lowest in Nigeria...... which is as far as 1 degrees....... gembu in Taraba state is the coldest in Nigeria .......it's always cold in that place.......other states that are also cold is apart from the northern and the middle belt of nigeria is Enugu State in the south east region is the coldest in the southern nigeria.......followed by Calabar, and Ekiti State.......over all nigeria weather is a bit hot in most of the states not all doing summer but get cold doing raining season and hammattan........... even Abuja the nations capital is also hot but usually very warm and also get extremely cold doing hammattan.......but none of our hottest is hotter than Ghana's hottest and other west Africa....... Nigeria is the only country in west Africa that has cold temperatures that can rival any snow....... temperature.......

Do you watch African media, or are you just being snobbish? The dominant media that has literally held or controlled the space to promote Western interests is Western media. Why do you even ignore the issue in place that the western media deliberately and internationally want to make Africa look inferior yet Africa is not doing that about the West? The fact that you just blame Africa and ignore the West shows the typical European bad heart that sees no evil on its doings.

That thumbnail reminds me of this thing CNBC likes to do. When they do videos about how Africa is rising and stuff, they use a lot of footage of South African cities. The videos will be like 80% Cape Town, Johannesburg, Durban and Pretoria just showing how awesome they look. But when they do videos on SA specifically they forget where they placed those videos and all of a sudden show these slums and stuff. I just find it funny.

It is therefore very alarming to Africans when visiting countries like the USA and the UK to see their homeless citizens camping on sidewalks (USA & UK), living in trailer parks (USA) or inside bridge structures (USA) and holding signs and begging (USA and UK). It is shocking to see that they too have gang crime, corrupt politicians and government officials, and dirty neighbourhoods and housing problems. And people who can't read or write. Or speak 'correct' English. And rundown schools and hospitals. Or communities without clean drinking water or plagued with rats and roaches. From their media you would think they have none of this stuff which exists 'only in Africa.' The media always has an agenda so people need to be more discerning. I'm not trying to denigrate Western countries, rather to show that there is good and bad everywhere. And to highlight media agenda to paint Africa bad and the Western world good. We all have good and bad.
