I couldn't find any recommendations on what Vitamix speed to use for salsa, so I was glad to find this video which goes into even more detail. This will be fun to try. I've seen some Mexican recipes for salsa that have you roasting tomatoes in the oven, which might be another way to reduce the amount of liquid besides just changing the flavor. I think I'll give that a try at some point, also. Thanks for the video.

I love my vitamix but I wish they came with pitcher clamps so you can go to town with the tamper after you've bolted the entire setup down. I love my customized vanilla ice-cream such as mixing frozen raspberries or blueberries into vanilla ice cream.

Would it be better to use the food processor attachment with the chopping-mixing blade?

Hi Thomas! "Better" is subjective in terms of outcome but I would say it would be easier to use the Food Processor Attachment since there's a lot more room to move things around. But it depends on how much you want to make. For smaller quantities the Vitamix container would be better. Also you can't adjust the blend speeds on the Food Processor Attachment so that could make a difference on the outcome of your salsa texture. Thanks so much for watching!
