My thoughts exactly! I pre ordered them all, the 2 unirculated, proofs and the reverse proof set. Didn't get all of them during the initial sale in 2021, only the Peace and Morgan Philly issues and the D-Morgan. The secondary market was way too expensive for them.

My 2 Peace dollars arrived today in Canada, $76 all in each, no taxes, no postage. I'd call them MS70. They were charged on the 12th. The Morgans were billed on the 13th and hopefully will arrive tomorrow. I'm happy.

Was just telling someone the other night in 2021 I picked up a Morgan & Peace dollar from the US Mint's site in mid-December after the dust settled. Possibly from the failed credit card orders. There were no flaws with them or appeared to be someone else's returns. I inspected them well.

Peace dollars are probably my favorite coin. They have been since my Granddad gave me a 1923, (which I still have), when I was somewhere around 10 months to a year old. I have all of the vintage Peace dollars in high grade mint state, with the exception of the 34-S. My 34-S’s are an AU and an XF. I fought very hard for a super stellar ungraded mint state 34-S. I got to well over $1600 with my final bid and got outbid by someone bidding $1825. I would LOVE to know what THAT coin grades at. It looked MS66-MS67 to me. You know the kind of value that could be added to a peace dollar set with a coin like that. Now I’m left with the task of finding another raw 34-S that is as beautiful as the one I came so close to owning…LoL. That’s my ‘one that got away’ story, Daniel…LoL

I remember all the doubters with the 2021 releases. They all turned out to be wrong. It was an easy flip, and the value has gone up. Not buying from the Mint would have been a costly mistake in most cases.

they come nearly flawless from the mint. i'll send the best few coins to get graded to try out the experience. I will say they sold out withing 2 hours of issue, and the minting is very low for this year. In 30 years, these coins in mint state will probably be great collector's items. Maybe ill resell graded examples to offset my basis cost and let others in on the collecting

Maybe I missed something. According to the page you showed, the coins are to be shipped in August 2023. How can a coin be graded MS 70/PF 70 If not released yet? Does the U.S mint now grade coins or do they send coins off to third party grading service, get them back and then sell them? Again did I miss something here? Or did I just misunderstood the video. IMHO, if you're looking for a coin/set to flip and make some decent money, then buy the reverse proof set. This is the first time ever, that the Mint has made a reverse proof set of both coins. I'm hoping they don't make a RP set next year. If they don't, theoretically that will make the 2023 set more and more valuable as time goes on. Personally, I don't think the UNC's on both coins will sell for very much, after the dust settles. Just my 2 cents.

At $100 each, a reseller will only be turning $18-$20 profit per coin. That’s a 25% mark up. Personally, I buy my coins to keep. I typically buy 3 of each because I have 3 kids and I want there to be three of everything reasonable to have 3 of…LoL. Of course, coins like say an MS67 Isabella quarter are NOT something I intend to buy 3 of…LoL. In situations where it is reasonable to buy 3 I will.

I think the presails for MS70 are worth it because you get a guaranteed MS70. you never know if there's gonna be a bad run and there's not many MS70 qualities. Like the Denver on the 2021 Morgan. They are like 700 bucks or something now Because the run didn't produce many quality coins.

I just received a shipping notice. The mint charged me $76 per coin. I checked EBAY and it's $147.50 for a MS 70 certified first release. I buy directly from the mint and have for over 50 years. That way I know it's genuine. It's up to the consumer. That means the container costs $80. It's a personal choice.

I've been waiting for my order since last year. I'm glad the US Mint has finally followed through. I think price went up $4 on the business strikes since the pre order became available. I can't wait for the reverse proofs. Who else believes they should return to the 90% composition? The initial price should be cheaper, not to mention the increased luster. Nothing against the 2021/2023 business strikes but the coin has an absence of luster with the 999 composition.

Half of my proof Morgans were rattling around inside the box. All sorts of flaws on my proofs and other coins in the set. For $80ea Id expect something more. Shame on the mint yet again.

I can NOT believe how LITERALLY DULL these coins are !?!?! The 2021 coins looked almost matte or burnished and are so DULL compared to the vintage originals I can NOT understand how anyone even wanted any ?!?!? After LOTS of people complained about that same issue , as well as several quality control issues , I at least thought this year's offerings would have been improved...BUT THEY ARE NOT...STILL DULL , DULL , DULL....WOW - the quality of these coins is CRAP !!!!! I say this as someone that WANTED to like these coins since I'm such a fan of both of the originals...but the mint literally RUINED these two issues...no way I'll be buying any...they're ugly !!!

I'm not sure how long you would need to wait for the price to drop to something other that 100+ per coin... looking at the 2021 complete sets ungraded they are still averaging over 200 per coin. The graded are even more. If I can secure a 70 set for an average 150- ish per coin now... I'm all over it. 400k - 250k mintage ya... I'm not waiting. I have already paid for my pre ordere3d proof and ms sets... eagerly waiting for the rev. proof pre sale. :)

Sadly, the ONLY people that will be truly benefit from these new dollar purchases are the U.S. Mint employees or those who have the connections to for an employee discount, that is if the U.S. Mint does that. That is why I am only sticking to working on a complete set of original run date and mint marks. I never even considered on buying the 2021's when they first came out. The prices for "Orders in Advance" that I see dealers put up on their sites or elsewhere are "mind-boggling"!!

But act now it will knock $100 off And ship it for free to you....... I'm in Canada too but I get junk silver coin at spot price no tax. Silver dollars are like 19 bucks flat so I never really factor that in. It's a really stupid law that makes no sense. You're buying silver, what the purity is shouldn't matter.

@@TheWinstonDouble I would prefer 900 as well, BUT..... It was nice they sent my coins here postage free. Very often free postage offers don't apply to Canada. My final cost was CDN$101 per coin. That's a lot and it is only because they sell for a lot more on the after market that I went for it. Though I'm sure if I took them to a local bullion dealer, they would pay 95% of spot as usual. Making dollars in both 900 and 999 would be confusing and impractical, I expect as they are now geared up for 999.

You can keep checking. It is common for more to come available as they try to actually process orders and charge credit cards. It may only be for a few hours so you have to be quick and check often. You can also sign up for text messages when available, but I've heard that doesn't always happen quick enough. Good luck!
