I got in love with this model in its day, I considered it very interesting. It was like getting a Kurt Cobain Jaguar but much cheaper xD I think they released the white finish and the sonic blue finish? I couldn't save much money so it was impossible for me to get one. I might one someday, who knows... even if it's an Squier. Right now I have a modded 60s CV Squier (SH1 in the neck, not rail in the middle and baja tele broadcaster in the bridge) and an Ibanez AG85 with some SD SH2 and SH59. I am very happy with them, but you know... the damn GAS XD I like your mods man, keep rockin!

I have the same guitar, and recently discovered p rails too. This video is exactly what I needed 🙏🏽

Love the thorough rundown of the layout you landed on with the pickups. (Also digging the longhair lifestyle you're moving towards. Keep it rockin steady, it only gets better. Coming from a guy who's last proper haircut was 8+ years ago 😂)

In 2021, I got one of the Squier Classic Vibe ‘70s Jaguars in Olympic white. I immediately removed all electronics and hardware, replaced the bridge and trem with Mastery, and installed a set of Lollar Jag pickups and dude…the thing is a workhorse. I think I paid around $450 for it, around $300 for the Mastery stuff, and like $200 for the pickups. So roughly $1000 all in for what I feel plays just as nice, if not a little better, than the American Pro II Jag I paid about $2500 for (including the aftermarket stuff…sure, Mastery isn’t cheap, but I always use them for any offsets I buy, no matter the price point, no matter the year).

Nice work, fella! About as much versatility as you could hope for in a guitar. Love the Morricone-tinged "The End" 🤠

I have a Tele. Beautiful. Sonic blue. Rosewood fretboard. But even when I hate repros... I'd buy a Jonny's Honda Tele instantly.

Thom uses p90s. He uses an ES-330 to play 2+2=5 and let down. Ed also uses an Epiphone Casino. Nothing beats the clean tone of a p90. I use my staple p90 Gretsch to play Let down, Subterranean homesick alien, the tourist and Paranoid android. I have an HSS Strat and I have considered those pickups.

Awesome vid! Just came across these pickups, and i've got the same Jag, so it's just what i needed! This might be a dumb question, but would i have any problems if use a P-Rail in the bridge only? I could swap the bridge coil roller for a three way switch, so i can use it in the rail, p90 and humbucker configurations. I really like the neck pickup I've already got (some kent armstrong one the previous owner installed) but never been a fan of the bridge, so looking for something else. However, all the demo vids I've seen use P-Rails in both the neck and the bridge.

@@tobygoodwin588 thanks! Yep, I don’t see anything wrong with that logic! The p rails is pretty versatile.

@@JoeEdelmann3 thanks mate. Did you get a trembucker for the bridge?
@JoeEdelmann32 ай бұрын
@@tobygoodwin588 I don’t think so, just the standard size! The bridge on my jag is an adjustomatic so I think the spacing is more Gibsony

May I recommend experimenting with either a 10 way blade or 6 way toggle by Freeway Switch. You can unlock even more possibilities.

A little late to the party but did you happen to use the trembucker version for the bridge? Or just the standard?

You know what I would love to see? A “live” version of Adelaide. As in you covering each part, like you do usually if it was a Radiohead song. Just so we can imagine we’re at an Edelman concert 🙌 and also I’m sure it would be cool to see if the song changes any with a live arrangement. Anyway, this is a cool sounding guitar, thanks for the video!
