@@bypass2099 Peak bioluminescence season falls between July and September, and tour organizers say the best time of month to experience the shimmering glow beneath the warm water surface is during or within a few days of a New Moon. Nothing better then seeing a glowing gator or croc headed towards you kayak full speed.

I was camping once (when we lived in Maui) and I was sitting on the beach until o saw stars in the sand. That was the first time I seen bioluminescence.

It’s cool. You’ll see all the little bait fish lit up swimming around. And even more crazy when there is big fish around

I am naive, so please keep the education and info flowing. This will improve everything. Just an observation 👏✌️

That's so creepy. I'd never want to go in the water again. Maybe just a little better then swimming in total darkness. It's just so alien.

does it really glow?
@VISITFLORIDA Жыл бұрын
Yes! It appears as a blue-green glow when marine species such as mullet, manatees, and dolphins - and humans - encounter blooming algae, emitting light across the water.

0:17 “bioluminescence is a naturally occurring mircroorganism” Idk if I’m hearing that right but that’s incorrect to me knowledge. It’s a process not a specific organism. Same as how photosynthesis isn’t a plant.
