Some keyboards are not that expensive nor elaborate. You should try Logitech Pro X TKL. I’m from Mexico and it costs 3000 pesos which roughly translates to 150 USD. It’s not that expensive and it’s a very good quality keyboard. You can buy the non-pro for like 50 usd less, which the only difference is you can’t change the switches.

@@mistakoruto Same man. I'm from a third world country as well. And that's what I feel funny, for westerners 300$ is not too expensive while it is kind of a standard monthly salary for white collar office workers here. And I'm from a middle class family, using a laptop my mom bought for herself for over a decade ago. HP pavilion with core i5 2nd generation. Every time it breaks down, I have to patch it up somehow. As of now, the keyboard, speakers doesn't work and the screen flickers non stop. The same patching up story can be applied to my smartphone as well. A Xiaomi Redmi 4X which has broken down many times and I have to get it fixed with a low quality display from China. Once upon a time, I liked Unbox therapy and it's videos very much. But now, watching them just makes me feel that I'm miserable. Nonetheless, Lew is still one of my favourite content creator and I watched him for many years. I watched him working hard and dedicating everything he had to this channel making Unbox therapy what it is today. . . . Why am I even writing this?

A good keyboard in this catagory would be $500 or more and there is a whole community of people that have several of these. The Everest board isnt even that great, sounds terrible. As someone who has build many custom keyboards in the last 10 years here is an explanation of the cherry mx switches and how I would rank them: 1)Mx Red - Smoothest out of all and sounds best after lubing. Is perfect for everything including typing and gaming. 2)Speed Silver - Same as mx red but the actuation point is quicker, mostly used for gaming. 3)Mx blue - Buy it if you want to wake up everyone at 3am 4)Silent red - Same as red but the bottom down feels as if you can't fully press it, feels weird. 5)Mx Brown - Please don't buy this, it's awful. Would 100% recommend this keyboard and I would recommend everyone to lube their switches, it makes an enormous difference plus makes it sound better and also feels better. The Cherry Mx switches are considered the worst switches when compared to other custom switches, if you have money to spare I would recommend you getting another switch and a new set of stabilizers with Krytox 205G0 lubricant. **Important** Buy a new set of keycaps (Would recommend double shot PBT keycaps), the keycaps on this keyboard is awful!

This blew my mind - why isn’t numpad on the left just the standard default it’s makes SO much sense!

Is there a grid somewhat that breaks down the attributes of each. IE level of noise, amount of travel, double click (down and up), etc ???

The keyboard is a game-changer. I've had other gamer keyboards, this is hands down worth the investment. The customisation is on another level. You definitely get what you pay for.

Imagine being in a office and everyone has the blue keyboard I don’t know if it would be annoying or satisfying at the same time

I got mine backed up from kickstarter years ago, and I have bought three keyboards since receiving mine, and I must say that I always end up going back to this keyboard with the blue switches. I think I may switch it up and go gateron yellow next though.

The number pad attachment points looks a bit flimsy , little bit concerned at 4:22, other than that rest of the items looks very cool.

I care not at all about the sound of a keyboard. What I want are keys that durable and don't cause many double strokes or accidental hits (such as when I rest my fingers lightly in position in preparation to type). I tend to pound my keys, even when typing (avg 50 to 60 WPM). I use the kb for productivity (programming and document creation) and occasional, casual gaming. Which keys would be ideal for that?

When he said, I'm not gonna type on this yet, I felt so sick. I wouldn't be able to resist slamming my hands on the keyboard right when I got it lol.
