Very nice! I built one almost identical this summer, but the frame came from a Cabela's Classic Accessories inflatable pontoon. The pontoons would leak air, and seem to sit too low in the water. I took them off and crank strapped 4 barrels to the frame and done! The best part, though, is that others in my family want one now and we have been brainstorming on how to replace the metal tube frame with PVC and keep the weight down. Your pontoon is the perfect solution, so I will definitely be copying your design when I build the next one. I absolutely love fishing from mine, as I sit up high and the draft is between 3 and 4 inches so I can go anywhere. Great job on this build, and thanks for posting!

Thank you for that, my buddy got one of those inflatable pontoons and that's what I sort copied mine off of. I did some modifications to his to we put a seat on it and a plexiglass floor for his feet. Plus it cost a lot less to build mine and it was fun. If you get one bill let me see it

I like it I think the platform could be lower if you spread the barrels.with more stability.

This is not the first video I've watched of yours. I'm tempted to retrofit my '85 Corvette to run on fumes, the purists be damned. Your a man after my own mind. You have the Heart of an Engineer, an aptitude for inventiveness, and resourcefulness. But just as important, if not more so, a keen sense of Entertainment, Fun and a Good Times for your Friends and Family, as well as yourself. Your presentation is classic small town America, American way to go. Brillant! I encourage you, Keep it up! Bravo!

Great Idea! Love the steering lever. I might consider a rocker switch for motor direction and a rheostat for speed control mounted on or near the steering lever for one hand motor control when you're fighting the BIG one. I have a 1/2 acre pond & I want to put an aerator in it but I need a small boat to deploy it. This looks like just the ticket! Thanks.

Great: Would be nice to know the lengths and width of the PVC pipe used and the width and length of the plywood center piece. What diameter is the PVC pipe.

Hi, I guess you have never seen the Red Green Show then, Red Green made something very similar but he used a recliner for the main seat and a lot of Duck Tape.
