I see where you coming from but the point you make of nuking so that way their prey can't stand chance is not really true. They do it so that way their techonogly won't fall in the wrong hands and whenever they do fail to do that they have take the techonogly back from the person who toke it even if it cost their life. And the way they hunt is that they don't hunt anybody that can't defend themselves or anybody who is having a baby the way woman do along anyone who is sick. They only hunt any living beings that can defend themselves or put up a fight. Like all the evidence is in the video and if you need more evidence then check the wiki or any other sources for that information. So yea it's not really hard to call them that unless you just see them as just hunting people and any living thing and don't look into the deeper stuff. Any predator that really has no honor are the ones who are called bad blood Predators who break the code of honor for predators who just end up getting kill on the spot. So yea. the easiest way to "defeat" a predator would be to drop your weapons and propose a truce. if you explain well enough that you don't mean harm and may actually wish to learn more about their species, they would be more than likely to accept you as one of their own with a clan marking, like we see in aliens vs predator. this also means you will have a whole platoon of ships and high ranking hunters on standby if you ever need anything. I would take my own personal squadron of alien bounty hunters any day of the week :)

Your odds even with a shotgun are still low. The predator from Predator 2 took several closer range shots from a small 12 gauge shotgun, and still got back up (though very heavily injured). That's in addition to it getting shot numerous other times, and losing its hand (like stated in the video). Your actual best bet is to not be a target at all. Do not arm yourself and do not attack or oppose the predator in anyway, shape or form. Be the most unworthy prey you could possibly be, and it won't even acknowledge your existence.
