In my own experience, living in a restaurant is not a pleasant feeling. It’s not one of those you seen in this anime, it’s just a small building that is like the size of one of the ramen stalls you see in Japan. I’ll tell you guys a little story here while we are at the topic. My father owns that restaurant. One day he thinks it’s a good idea to sleep on these hard wooden chairs or the counter, until my step mom convinced him to sleep over at her house since he lives about an hour drive away from his home to the restaurant. Overtime, he is starting to show his dark and ruthless side. Literally blaming all these nonsense stuff at me and making me work at the restaurant despite me having important school work to do, to the point of me actually failing one of my class which is ironically cooking due to my fatigue from having to stay there until closing time which is most of the time very late close to midnight depending on the last visiting customers. The worst thing is, I don’t even get paid at all, and to make things even worse, he decided to give the paycheck to a co worker right in front of my face. Six months later, friends and a few teachers starting to notice my fatigue and missing every period 1 classes. Told them my issue, teachers could only help me in making my next semester schedule. A best friend of mine that I known since Freshman year actually told his mother about my issue and got me to talk to her during lunch (which I normally go with him to eat since i have nothing to eat ever since I started living with my father for about six months. The reason I will explain later.) My friends mother got me to tell her everything about my situation from beginning to end. She wants me to live with her for now and don’t go back to my fathers place. I told her I will keep that in mind and we both kept in contact to keep her updated. A week later, my father hit my boiling point right in front of my co worker too, and that is when I was done with him (I didn’t show it, I was a bit too upset to even show any emotions at the time.) To make this part short, I left my father and lived with my friend for a few weeks before going back to my grandmothers place. Managed to keep my grades high again and graduated almost barely. And that guy really has the minerals to call me and attempt to convince me to come back, which I obviously declined. Never heard from my father again after that. So now, the reason why I was living with my father in the first place. I was visiting a relative my fathers side in another country for the summer. Apparently they think my mother’s side of the family was to “keep me out” which was obviously not true since I kept in touch with them everyday via social media. They actually called my father and he thinks the same reason too. So my mother’s side suggest living with my father for a bit to see his true colors (since I never seen him for at least thirteen years and I always looked up to him when I was young). I hesitantly accepted and lived with him after the visit. At first he has that nice caring side I always knew when I was young, and you guys probably know the rest above. Even though it was a bit off topic and somehow not related to the main topic anymore, this is my personal experience on having a family restaurant. Not a pleasant experience and feeling especially if you have no interest in it whatsoever especially if you don’t get paid at all. If you are planning or thinking to start a restaurant, I won’t stop you. It’s your choice. Just a warning though, it can take a toll of your sanity. I don’t normally talk about my person issues especially to a group of strangers that is scrolling through a comment section watching harmless anime videos, but just seeing this clip brought back my traumatic experience of the restaurant. And I don’t want anyone to experience the same thing I had. Thank you for reading and have a good day. If you have a bad day today, there is always tomorrow. Don’t do stupid things that can affect your peers, because it’s not worth it. I almost done it a few times while living with my father, until I always think: how would my peers react if I am gone? How would that impact their lives? It’s not worth it.

This anime is cute and all but it seems to be walking a thin like of social activism in that: it is about two families from two very different social status: the rich and well off and the poor or moderate. No matter how you look it at people are going to get some messages out of this like: do genetics make a person or their upbringing?
