‘You will be shocked’: How Iran’s regime is threatening Canadians here at home

Being from a US/CA border city, I questioned the need for more stringent border crossing controls between the USA and Canada for years after 9/11, basically because they were a hassle and I was used to only minor questioning at the border. I now know why they exist. The longer I live, the more evidence is provided me that Canada is a very long weak spot for US homeland security. It is naive to believe that moving to a developed country make you safe from authoritarian regimes. There is a misconception in the developed world that authoritarian regimes are "backwards" simply because they are authoritarian. This is an outdated view. In many ways, the governments of these countries have access to advanced technologies that are at comparable to the developed world. And knowing the history of WW2 or the Yom Keper war, you can understand why they would act on the "harsh" side rather than the "kind" side of things. You talk about Free Palestine. You were given your freedom numerous times but threw it away, the Oct 7 slaughter of civilians being the most recent example. You talk about Free Palestine - "from the river to the sea", which essential means wiping out Israel, no doubt, complete with the genocide demonstrated by Oct 7. One of the problems is, as a neutral observer, from what I can see, Palestine adds little to the world except a welfare basket case of a country filled with war mongering people. But adding the Iranian Revolutionary Guard to the Terrorist Organizations List brings about a Charter of Rights issue that these activists are disregarding. In Iran, all men over the age of 18, must serve in the country's military for 2 years. they don't get to pick where they serve. Anyone could be assigned to the Revolutionary Guards and once in there, you have to follow orders. If you are put in charge of the air defence site and were ordered to fire on an aircraft that the Control has identified as "Hostile"; you can't know what that aircraft is from the ground. It could be an enemy aircraft that is coming to hit your very position. Either way; Insubordination charge, in the Iranian Revolutionary Guard unit, is a charge that no one whose dad isn't a bigwig could really beat. Also; if you finish university, the military would not put you have you in as a lowly privet. You will be given a rank to start. The Charter problem would arise from the fact that people are put in a position in which they have to prove their innocence, rather than the Crown needing to prove it's case against the individual. Prime Minister is right to not put the Whole branch of a nation's military as a Terrorist Organisation. We must look at each case as individually but a blanket law like that is thoughtless.

Sorry, I maxed out with the genocide Netanyahu provided but then the shock value passed when I know he is a war criminal and the people of Israel protested against him before Hamas attacked Israel. If the United Nations doesn't have the legs to stand up after Netanyahu bombed two schools under their control with dead children inside, then let them sit in shame with their mouths wide shut for all the world do see and know who and what they are as the cowardly leaders they appear to be.
