I have 3 on my kitchen window in the North of England. They are blooming beautifully. When they get too big I give cuttings away

Almost at the end of the video there is one planted in a pot. They are a low light plant and don't require much care. I suggest you transplant it. Break up the root ball and cut some of the roots off. Be careful not to cut the main root. Water to where the dirt is slightly damp. Put it in a low light room and forget about it. Only water is when the dirt gets dry.

I have one that I found next to a dumpster at the apartment I had just moved to when I was 19 and I still have it and I'm 61. It has travelled around the world with me yet has consistently bloomed year after year and is massive though I share cuttings all the time. A Christmas Cactus is not a true cactus, it is a succulent, so needs more water than a cactus. Don't let it dry out and don't use cactus putting mix as that does not have enough nutrients, thus why this grower is adding compost to his plants- they need the extra nourishment that cacti don't. Use an all round fertiliser and a good pest free compost. I keep mine in bright but indirect light, full sun can burn them unlike a true cactus.
