At the driving test if you position your car in the middle of the lane like this car, you will have a minor mistake of position error, because you are occupying the lane fully and obstructing any other car to turn either left or right besides you, this is called road hogging, meaning to drive in a way so that other vehicles cannot go past.
However if you turn left from here it will be a Fail as you are turning left leaving one full car gap from the kerbside, on the other hand if you turn right from here you will have a minor position error as the gap on the right, between you and the middle island is less than but close to one car, you should position your car close to the middle island to turn right, or close to left kerbside to turn left. Those are the correct road positioning but not this.
