Hi everyone! I am very happy to share with you how easy to make this threads catcher or small fabric hanging waste basket . I find it very useful item to have if you are a sewer or if not you can use it to hang in your car to collect little trash . You may have to make the hanger longer to be able to use in the car. I highly recommended you all give yourself a try and you’ll love it.
Thank you for watching everyone,,

I have taught myself how to sew over the past 20 years. I want to tell you that you are the best KZbinr I've seen in describing and showing how things are put together. You are very easily understood, and you make the crafts very easy to do. I will make some of these for my new office, to hold pens; then I'll make a very small one to hold paper clips!!

Amazing. You remind me of my grandmother, who could look at a dress, go home cut a pattern out of brown grocery bags and sew one just like the dress she had just seen. I regret that I never took the time to learn how she did it. Thank you for sharing your extraordinary skill.

Your grandmother had a natural ability to see how the shapes will form up. We can learn that to a degree as adults. Mine was a whiz with darts and pleats for fitting. Me, not so much. I’m a quilter, not a garment fitter. I do better in 2D, not 3D. We all have our strong points.

I just learned something the other day and I noticed you have one. It is called a leveling presser foot. See the little black button at the left back of your presser foot? The easiest thing to do (what I did) is to search leveling presser foot on KZbin. I noticed it when you put the extra material behind to lift the foot. This prevents you from having to do that. Another fantastic video that I look forward to watching everyday. I enjoy you talking thru the video instead of the crazy music on some. I turn the volume down on those. Thanks again -- love you❤

I made a thread catcher using the plastic strapping that is around boxes, such as copy paper, to keep the opening from closing. I lined it with a plastic bag so the threads don’t stick when emptying. In addition, I sewed a strip of fabric to the top with a bag of weights (sand, whatever) attached, which went under the machine to keep it from moving around. I like the design of yours, and will make it using the😊 weights. I just wish I had that fabric. Thanks for showing us how to put it together. That method of sewing the lining to the bag is great.

Thank you so much for the "no anger" way of keeping the lining attached to the outer fabric of the thread catcher bag! I have done little hand stitches into the corners before and your method is soooo much better. 🤩😊

I love this video! Not only did you explain the entire process, you gave some great tips on making the bag (and potentially future project) better. I love the fact you used the interfacing as your template. I also love that you sewed down the bottom boxed edges so the inside of the pouch/bag isn't baggy. This pouch is not only great for a thread catcher, but if it was made in different sizes, it could be used for pretty storage within a craft room. It could also be used to collect scrap/trash for other crafts (I also like to do wire jewelry and hate all the little snips of wire that are left on the table when I am working on a project). I subscribed and liked this video! I look forward to new videos in the future (and checking out what you have already uploaded on your channel). Thank you for sharing!!
