Easy pass from me this year. Still full of bangers, but nothing that broke me. Lorna Shore probably would have broken me, along with some others that weren't included. Numerous Fit For An Autopsy breakdowns would have gotten me, but not the one he chose lol.

I felt like the first half of it was really weak imo but the second half was really difficult, some fantastic songs in there. I would love to see more grooves and such though for stuff like this as I think grooves are often more difficult than a breakdown, especially the slow breakdowns.

That's what I've been saying for two years now. Grooves, where are they? They're way harder to pass on, because they're more dynamic, but oh well I guess. Though it was nice seeing Alpha Wolf - 60 cm of Steel and Abbie Falls - Parasite/Pitch Black included in this challenge, because these two songs were really hard to not to headbang to.

He also didn't have a lot of the best breakdowns featured. Not showcasing the absolute best isn't his fault, I guess, but when you do it this seriously, there were better choices. Music wise, this has been a great year for heavy music, and it makes me kinda sad that you haven't seemed to find anything you like. Maybe country's more your speed ☺️

2020 was on, 2021 was off, this was right in the middle. And yeah, was almost surprised that there was no Lorna Shore. The one right after FFAF was probably the weakest offering for me. Without the breakdowns, I wouldn't care for Stray From the Path, at all. That, and I have always disliked Veil of Maya for some reason. The Oklahoma Kid has put out some bangers.

Weakest one yet ngl. 2020 and 2021 were amazing but this one? Nah. Only ones I knew were pretty much Chelsea Grin and Motionless In White. Missed opportunity to put Lorna Shore's Pain Remains 1 or 2 and the breakdown to Parkway Drive's Glitch on it. Imo there were a lot of missed opportunities in this one.
