In a sense it’s kind of sweet to find a kit in such condition simply because there is an opportunity to give it some love.

I really like how un original this is. I mean that. A lot of people would poo poo the fact that some of the parts aren’t the same as they would have been original. But you’re a DRUMMER not just a collector. Really enjoy watching your videos! Killing it

Thank you! and as much as I'd like to keep things original due to today's economy this was the better option. Eventually I'll gather the correct pieces but for now I just wanted to get them back into a playable condition. Thanks for watching!!!

Thank you and it is...I just came across some problems with it after the installation so I will eventually redo it and correct it.

@@TheSDRS Thank you for watching. Im fairly new with it all so Im bound to mess up and just want to show the good and bad sides to it all so others dont make the same mistakes or can learn to correct some they may have along the way.

Nice work, they look great - so why didn’t you like the wrap? What problems did you have? Also, would like to hear the drums on their own.

@@christianjensen5523 after the wraps were on...somehow I got some ply separation on the wraps themselves. best way to describe it is a top coat pealing on a car/paint job. Im in contact with the wrap company and will be getting sorted out soon and will post a video on it.

Man I wish I had that original sky blue Pearl wrap off that kick and all. I need it for one floor Tom and I think that would have been enough to do what I need to do. That kit looks great to me, now though.
@Russell_Drums5 күн бұрын
yes I would have loved to keep the original wrap on but it was too far gone in some spots. I can always measure the left overs and let you know...

@ I’m trying to figure it all out how we can do it. Anyway, thanks! Just I guess see if you have enough that looks ok to do one 16”x16” floor Tom, if we got creative with it. Then I’ll figure out how to pay you and the shipping n stuff, if we have something I can work with. Thanks again!!

The shells were in round? It hurts me to see such neglected tubs
@Russell_DrumsКүн бұрын
Surprisingly yes they were ok. edges were dry so I had to do some sanding and fill a few little chips but nothing too crazy. If I keep this kit I might do re-rings just to insure the shells in the future.

@Russell_Drums sweet. Thanks.

Just curious why you installed the diamond plate on the rack tom if you're not using a rail consolette.
@Russell_Drums5 күн бұрын
I eventually plan on getting one. I did leave the holes under the wrap for rail installation purposes. Plus I have a holder that clamps onto a stand that works with the diamond plate.

We’re did you get the carpet at. I like it
@Russell_Drums4 күн бұрын
Carpet came from a local store called Roses here in Ohio. I paid like $20 for it.
