Shure SM57, Beta 58A and SM7B are essentially the same mics. Difference is body and that SM7B has a couple of hardware EQ things. I have my Shure SM57 for years now and I couldn't be happier with it. Great sound and great video, yet again! Cheers!

SM7B is a great mic, but it is very expensive, and always need a Boost signal, i would recomend for those who are starting producing contents. i do own a SM57 for 7 years now, i use it for diferent, for guitar cab live and studio, for talking head videos, even for snate drums...

tbh, so long as its not fundimentally broken, almost any mic can sound great with the right preamp! cheepo pres without enougth gain are where cheaper dynamic mics get there bad rep!

Personally I think your other video sounded better than this one. The middle-highs in this one are harsh like a telephone and the lows are a bit too boomy. Did you compress the signal a lot?

im weird, ive always disliked hout the 57/58 sound on the voice. the mid tones just sound so cluttered and distorted. bleh
