I always like to ask Christians ONE question about "the empty tomb". WHY would Pontius Pilate treat Jesus differently than other criminals who were crucified? Because the Romans didn't do what we do today and allow friends or family members to claim the bodies for burial. Generally, they were only taken down if room was needed for other condemned criminals, and when that happened, the bodies were simply tossed aside like garbage. But the Biblical account of Pilate is laughable. It portrays him as a weak, scared governor who could be easily intimidated. We know from the historical records that the actual historical Pilate was anything but that. If he hadn't wanted to crucify Jesus and the Jewish religious leaders had threatened to tell Ceasar...Pilate would have let Jesus go and crucified them. He was not a governor who especially cared about getting along with the Jews he governed - it was his way or the highway...on a cross.

So Finn is a transphobe and I am fairly confident that was the point of the entire thing. He just wanted to get that out there. That's perfectly fine and message received. There is the 'Germany' thing though. I would have liked for the hosts to have looked a little bit into that. Because German people in general would be considered 'woke' by right wing extremists like Finn. They're fairly progressive as such. I guess Finn is stationed in Germany, perhaps a military person of some sort? He is very much not German very obviously and I'm very sry my German brothers and sisters. I'm Danish, and no German speaks English this American. But I wonder how this American fares in modern day Germany? Unliked and unwanted would be my guess and good luck with that :)

Depends where he is stationed in Germany. If he is an american soldier it's probably in the southern part, which is generally much more religious and conservative than the north that borders Danmark.

Multiple attestation really only indicates that a tradition is early, not necessarily that it is historical." And also "I’m not sure how to answer. I don’t think there *was* a tomb." We have documents uncovered in Rome, from multiple sources, in multiple different eras, talking about his war campaigns in various territories, as well as the letters written from dozens of other Roman figures to him, and letters he wrote back, and we have artifacts discovered from those military conquests that are consistent with the time period during which he would have lived and when those campaigns were supposedly occurring due to those hundreds of exterior sources. The only evidence of a dude named Matthew is in the fucking Bible. That's it.

Yep. And we have no evidence from some of the biggest claims in the Bible that should realistically have tons of evidence if they actually happened. Like hundreds of thousands of Israelites being enslaved in Egypt, and then all the first born sons of the Egyptians being murdered by magic, and then all the Israelites leaving and drowning the Egyptian army in the red sea, and then wandering the desert for 40 years. And there's nothing. You'd think with events that huge there'd be something to corroborate it. But there isn't. Which just goes to show how low the bar for evidence is with Christians.
