This was a last minute find ... join me as I tour a warehouse of an event rental company that is liquidating some of their inventory. Epic garden finds on facebook marketplace and cheap garden ideas.

You’re near Dallas. I’m near OKC. I wouldn’t paint the pots black or your plants will cook. I’d also put plastic inside the burlap on your metal pots or they will dry out way too fast. You got great deals! Congratulations! I’ve found that the higher grade faux stone pots last for years. Only the cheap ones have cracked on me.

What a great haul!! I would love to find a similar thing, a rental company that is liquidating, in my area!! For the short, hard plastic column base (at 1:52), I had one of these once and I had it in the full sun in my garden. I didn't have anything on it, and it sort of "melted" in the heat of the summer sun. If I had only known, I would have put it in the shade. I'm in zone 6b and I never thought that would happen, so just be careful if anyone purchases items of this material.

What a great place and like you there is so so much neat things to pick you don't know to come home with. I must say that the best thing you did was to bring cash which limited what to buy. Once you set your 2024 garden budget you have the choice to probably come back at a later time.

I am in search of an obelisk kind of trellis for my passion flower vine. But we got a lot of wind almost all the time, so always get scared to pick one which can be sturdy enough to withstand the wind.

Fantastic! Glad you decided to go; well worth the drive over. I think a lot of us are just a bit jealous 🌱 😂 - I need to start going to estate sales in my area (as I want to start collecting concrete planters and statuary and they’re so expensive brand new) but there are so many dealers around me, it’s hard for end of the line buyers to get in there in time. 🤞 for some future finds.

You should! And yes, there will be dealers there but I find a lot of them aren’t buying some as heavy as concrete planters because they can’t be shipped and they are too difficult to display at antique booths.

You got some great finds! On Facebook Market Place I found a Campania brand fountain I was considering buying new but didn't want to pay 1500 for it. I paid 250. It was a bit of a drive to get but worth it. I like to keep my eye out for various things. You never know what unique items you can find.

Score! I love that brand of fountains and statuary. I bought just one, small bird bath so far as yes, they are super pricey (the concrete hand with palm facing upwards to hold some water). Keeping my eye on estate sales moving fwd for a bigger fountain.
