You should visit Metro Maples in Ft Worth. You will need to request an appointment via their website. They have good prices and different sizes.

Look for a Coral Bark (Sango Kaku) Japanese maple. They turn a beautiful yellow with a red trunk in Fall and their lime green foliage in Spring against the coral bark is stunning. Also the Katsura Japanese maple smells like cotton candy in the Fall.

I’m not happy with Park Seed because of lack of info on the pkg

It’s not a one-off with MI Gardener. I’ve had 5 seed packets that I’ve ordered from him over the past few years that have had zero or minimal germination, and a few that did grow that had lackluster quality (I grow veg and flowers). These difficulties seem to have started when he opened his physical store. Probably growing pains, but that’s the reason I don’t order from him any more. And you’re right-not many people would call for a $2 refund. LOVE LOVE LOVE PineTree Seeds, Geo Seeds, Territorial, and Baker Creek!

You introduced me to Bluestone and I love them. I’ve only lost a few of their plants due to death by chicken. The rest have done so well.

I use Tomato Growers Supply for tomato and pepper seeds. Excellent germination rates. Never disappointed.

I love the plant colors you chose for your front border, the sedums and blanket flower will look lovely together. I don't know if you want to add bulbs, but drumstick alliums would look great there and the bulbs are small, so not such a drag to fall plant. I live in Denver 6a/5b and have some but not great luck with baptisia. I have noticed that even though they are drought tolerant they perform best with consistent moisture and do better without competition. I order from Bluestone a lot and also like Annie's Annuals; they would probably have a lot of options available for your zone (and higher zones in general).. Thanks for yoru video!

I was surprised to see you put your plant in the hole with fertilizer in without mixing it into the soil first. I obviously don’t use enough fertilizer from watching you and seeing your results. 😊

I love how you started it I've just been chucking everything in soil and watering doing it blind for a lot of the seeds it is that simple...but some stuff will frustrate you because it needs conditions met or it won't come up at all because it needs light or fire or to be particularly eaten by something or cold its rather annoying when youd ont have the info and you got a stubborn seed that's ŕefuses and tou don't know why sometimes it's as simple as having bad seed but most of the time it's all about conditions learning is everything plants are science

Hey Amanda, did you try anything from Floret this year? (Wondering about the success of her zinnia mixes that were ~$17 ish per packet) Some of the people I’m subscribed to didn’t have great germination… hard for me to pay so much, but I will admit her mixes are very unique. Love this video…I’m making my lists 🤓!!
