You won't believe our next vacation spot! But hear me out.

Your probably going to be very surprised to hear our next vacation spot, but hear me out. We booked this vacation months in advance back in August 2023, well before any changes were announced.
For my 40th birthday I wanted to celebrate with my family in one of the most accessible and magical places on earth. SO that’s why I chose WDW. My Happy place. Never in my wildest dreams did I think they would make horrendous ableist changes to the DAS pass. As we said we booked this vacation back in August 2023. Since the announcement I have gone through a rollercoaster of emotions.
I still want to make vides to keep for our memories. Not only that making content is such a passion of mine, I truly enjoy it. I understand if you do not want to watch, or support it. I will not be address the changes of the DAS pass in these videos, nor will I be discussing queuing of any kind. We worked very hard for this 100% self funded vacation, so we want to enjoy it best we can.

Hi Gem! I just got back to CT from WDW. As you know I am a wheelchair user as well... although we did not went on many attractions because it was so crowded, and HOT, we did the ones I love most on each park. MK, we rode Thunder mountain, and because we wheelchair users cannot go thru the line we can ask a cast member to give us a return time. That worked really well so I could go to the bathroom and sit under the shade while we waited. Did I mention it was HOT! 100+ degrees 🥵 Anyway we went to the lighting lane cast member and asked for a return time and they did gave it to us. So please, give this a try as they are accommodating wheelchair users to the best they can. Have fun on your trip!!

@@Wheelsnoheels when I was there I was not able to go on that one, as it was on preview for AP only. It looks soooo cute, so please let us know how it is. I already can't wait to go back! Have loads of fun and down time you all! By the way if you have not tried it yet, eat at Sebastians in the Caribbean beach hotel, it was delicious. Also, if you can get in, try Woddy's round up restaurant in HS...it is their new TSL restaurant that is so much fun and the bbq (all you can eat that comes to you) was delicious!

@@WheelsnoheelsWe haven't been to Tiana's yet, but the logs are the same, just redecorated from Splash Mountain. I saw a video that showed the new transfer device they added. It's a wheelchair seat height mobile bench that locks in place along with a small transfer bench inside the ride car

We love Disney. It’s where we got married 20 years ago. Have a great time. I’d love to know if the boats that go from Disney Springs to the resorts are accessible. Now planning 2026 holiday and considering French quarter as we love DS for evenings. (Cruise next year).

Ive never been to either of the disney land places, i have no interest in it, i don't like flying, my mum and dad always went abroad when i was a kid and i got sick of it lol, im happy in the uk, we love to drive our own car and just be able to go where we want instead of being stuck abroad no car no nothing, if you enjoy it thats great and i really hope you have an amazing trip, were all different and enjoy different things. ❤

I have never been to Disney World. When I was a child the folks took us to Disneyland. I think I had just turned 8... so... 62 years ago. I've been to Six Flags over Texas and Astroworld when it existed. The last time I went to Six Flags was in the mid to late 1980s. I don't care for roller coasters, I was one one that they closed right after our trip... not fun.

Ive heard of six flags its supposed to be great , im not a massive fan of the hard core coasters , i like the more low key rides , but as for Disney i just love the whole Disney Experience 🙂

@@Wheelsnoheels I have ridden the log plume and I enjoy that, despite being a sort of roller coaster. Maybe because you can get wet and Texas is nothing but hot in the summer. I just have never had the money to go to Disney World, my trip to Disneyland was done over Christmas in 1961. Needless to say, the folks paid for that.

Please don't worry about Bondi Sands. The magazine responsible for the rumour has a little habit of recommending brands that they have affiliate links with and slagging the brands they do not (i.e Bondi Sands). Bondi Sands have come out and said their sunscreen is actually SPF 61.5 (so above the SPF 50). As an Australian brand, you can trust it has gone through the toughest testing. We wouldn't put a rubbish sunscreen on the market. *Not sponsored or affiliated with Bondi Sands lol. Just a bit of skincare nerd and it's getting discussed in groups I'm in

I once went to Montreal. My girlfriend and I stopped at a restaurant, the waitress said she only spoke French. I asked for the manager and i told him my plight. He said that she could speak American English. He took our order and i gave him a big tip.
