I had never seen a rescue or shelter do a "pack" for their dogs. Before seeing The Asher House videos, I would have thought it impossible to have 20, 30, 50, or more dogs from all walks of life thriving as a "pack"! Now that I've seen the miracles brought about by the Pack, the beauty of it all is a sight to behold. I don't have dogs, but every kitty I've ever had was rescued! The love and joy a rescue can bring you is without measure!

As this video started I literally thought to myself “I wish Asher House would rescue dogs from CA.” And then wow! There it was! I rescued my girl from a So Cal shelter 2.5 years ago and brought her to Wisconsin. What is happening in CA is awful. Terrible. Heartbreaking. I wish I didn’t know but I can’t forget. I mean it’s everywhere these days but the volume in CA and TX is so bad. So THANK YOU Asher House, thank you so much.

In AZ, they were also full when I adopted my dog from them - "Maricopa County Rabies Animal Control." Just in case anyone reads this and lives in AZ, Google "Maricopa Pet Adopt" and the pound has a website with pics of all the dogs currently up for adoption. They are a "kill shelter" but are really trying hard to find good homes.

I rescued my Freyja about the same time , June 2022, from Hesperia. She was red-carded which means she would be making room for new intakes. She had been adopted and returned twice for destructive behavior, the second time within 24 hours. Diana and I drove three hours for a meet and greet and she came home with us. She’s smart and has learned by watching and imitating Diana. There are no kill shelters in California but shelters are allowed to make room when dogs come in and they are already overcrowded. Hesperia gets a lot of dogs. Freyja has no idea how lucky she is.

It's horrible. I pray every rescue in ever state can also pick up dogs to rescue from slaughter. They are slaughtering them hundreds every week. 😩😭
