Fancy toys and "stuff " will be forgotten but days like this will be remembered for ever. My kids are in their thirties and they remember the trips to the woods on the family farm and to the reservoirs in our area in the winter time with the water down.

That white glass jar you found is made of what people call Milk Glass. It was very popular in the 40s and 50s and usually had lotions and sorts inside.

Thanks for sharing some family time! It's very personal, and really very precious. Your kids are precious, only little once, and SO cute then. They grow up so fast on you. That looked like a old milk glass cold cream jar. Like a Pacquin's or Pond's jar, some people collect milk glass. Take care!

We have some old barns and houses in the UK that are made from "cob" which is a mix of mud and chopped straw, some of them are over 500 years old.
@charliemansonUK
@charliemansonUK Жыл бұрын
Our house in Cumbria when I was growing up in the 80's was cob built. Walls were 6 feet thick in places. The true age wasn't known but it was on maps from the 1600's. The neighbour behind had a whole farm dating from the same timescale, the barn was vaulted oak beams and a traditional long barn possibly up to 600 years old. They're still standing in a village called Moorhouse they were the last buildings on the left.

🔴🔴 The big grooves in the floor is the poop trouth the wood slats that are angled the cow would stick there head threw the wood slats and eat well being milked. The poop trouths had a small round hole to push the wast outside this was mostly used in the winter to minimize the cold coming in well cleaning out the wast.

* Silas you've gotten so good at making the vids ! Loved the opening music. You got some nice well mannered kids. You and the wife are good parents. Nice old barn. Yes people can be such as*holes ! No respect for anything. And it's just getting worse. Yes Crappy love the stumps. The lake I grew up on had a flooded bay we called stumpy cove. They damned our lake in like 1907 raising it's level flooding that mashy area. They dynamited the cedars to enlarge the lake resulting in all the stumps. Great Crappy and Bass fishing and no speed boats to chase the fish off . 👊😎👍
