@@Projectgolfmatthewryan - I will try to think of some things for you. I don't use many gadgets in my training anymore, haven't for many years. I pretty much focus on routines and video analysis. I sometimes do use a "floppy" club that I made. I took a Swing Training club (Amazon: "Golf Swing Training Aid Golf Swing Trainer Golf Practice Warm-Up Stick for Strength Flexibility and Tempo Training") .. then took an old pitching wedge .. cut the head of the club off a few inches up .. measured the length I needed and cut the training club to the appropriate length (cutting the head of it off) .. The remaining shaft of the wedge slid perfectly and snugly between the inner core (fiberglass) and outer rubber coating of the training club .. I glued them together like that and the result was a really floppy pitching wedge. I use it for tempo, and proper swing plane. In order to hit this club well, you have to have nearly perfect tempo, nearly perfect swing plane, lag, rotation and other mechanics. You can't be off balance much either. You really have to have everything working just about perfect in order to make good shots, especially getting properly compression and a subtle divot. If you come over the top at all (casting) you will slice the crap out of it. It really really forces you to stay inside of the ball. Works pretty darned well. The Swing Training club only cost about $25 on Amazon and I have plenty of old wedges laying around, so it was pretty cheap. I have used that club for about 10 or 12 years now, off and on. If you make one, be sure to be careful in your measurements. I was off about 1/2" so mine is about 1/2" shorter than it should be .. no real big deal, but I would like to build another without that mistake, some day. If you are ever interested in building it, DM me and I will send you a picture of the one I made with better detailed explanation of how to build it. I also once did an 8 iron on the end of a rope. That was quite novel. It was extremely difficult to hit with, but after a while I was able to get it down pretty well. Just a pain to work with and obtained a lot of bumps and bruises hitting myself with the clubhead .. LOL .. it can be done though, you can actually hit quality shots with it, easiest to do off of a tee though. I don't think that one made for a very good training aid though, just something you can show off to your friends with .. LOL

board looks great and the video is sweet. Im gonna make one myself. Do the results carry over, or do you lose your distance if you dont use the board b4 hand?

@stanbrackhage Thank you! I am glad you are making one. Answer to your question, yes and no, just like everything, you need to do until it feels natural, and sometimes you will need a refresher. I think of Scottie Scheffler and how he still uses a grip trainer even though he is #1 in the world. I would focus on what it feels like so you won't need to do it as often. I am doing it before I hit my net for a reminder for like 10 min, then going into my practice.

@ShallowPlane I have trouble with that feeling. Just a me thing I think. I do have success with trying to match my lead hip to my trail hip, instead of the opposite, trail hip matching the lead hip on the down swing.

Yeah it's not set in stone just depends on lie angle and the swing of the day

@ShallowPlane that's awesome! I am glad you are making one. I also thought of that, but I had the foam drawer slide liners already, probably will upgrade to grip tape when it needs to be replaced.

@ Golf is played mostly by people who work a lot and can’t afford fancy gadgets so yeah just make stuff yourself.I built my own shed from premium pallets tore ‘‘em down pulled all the nails off and ran ‘‘em through my router it took all winter to get them all but was well worth it.the cladding is from the pallets .I made the.
