Monsgeek releashed the M1W 1 month ago and you won't belive the price of it. The official price of the full keyboard including akko's cream pro switches and "usable" keycap is 100$, but with the first 3 weeks of releash in TaoBao, the price gone down to 60~70$. The anodization is a little bit better than the previeus "main land china" version which doesn't support Via, the sound profile is much more clackier somehow

@@AndyVNguyen yeah, it got supper popular in Vietnam thanks to every vendor started to pre ordering them. It's back to 100$ now but still very worth the price. Only complaints i can say about it is although the pcb is 1.1mm thin, Monsgeek put in 1.6mm pcb mount stab and the knob can't mute volumn. (3 modes version comes with oem software)

It's a compact 75% layout, so far keebs that carry the same layout tend to be more expensive than the exploded 75% keeb counterpart.

Really curious about how this stacked up vs the Zoom75 in typing feel since sound for the Zoom seems to be quite good. I do similarly prefer the Taco's version of the 75% layout for work

I do think there’s something quite humorous here when I think about a Chinese company designing / selling a keyboard called the taco with a sombrero on the weight. Seems like a solid price point for the build quality, but that’s a bummer about the space bar. Glad to see KBDfans offering both 1.2 mm and 1.6 mm PCBs with no flex cuts!!

From a technical standpoint, I really like this board. It's a really nice 75%. But for me, and this is purely subjective, the taco name and engraving runes it for me. Other boards like the the Oden, the Pluto, the Yeti are named after Gods, planets and monsters. It has a certain cool factor. I love tacos as a food, but I just don't feel excited about buying one to type on. If this had a different name I feel like I'd be more excited. The keyboard itself looks awesome, I must just be weird, LOL.

Honestly I felt the same for the tofu. It just seemed out of place for a sharp looking tray mount. With the new 2.0 I feel the name fits better. But the taco takes it wayyy too far with the food naming scheme. It’s just odd.
