Hello! 😊 I understand your concern and I didn’t show this, but I don’t charge them while driving, overnight, or if we’re gone. So I keep an eye on it. But, with that said, I don’t feel there is an imminent danger in charging batteries inside a RV. Just like we charge laptops, phones, cameras, the RV batteries, etc inside all day long. Just curious, do you guys charge anything inside your RV?

When the East coast pine forests are in bloom, the yellow clouds of pollen cover everything! It tends to be a little sticky, so if you let it sit for a while, it is a pain to wash off. When the pollen is that thick, it always gives me a sore throat. While I love my coffee in the morning, I find hot tea with honey and lemon soothes my throat better than anything else. Ahh, there is nothing like a challenging parking spot to make you feel like a newbie again. I hope you enjoyed the area!

If you drill a couple of holes in the side of the tray, you can use motorcycle tie down straps to keep the bikes upright. I use to transport my motorcycle inside my van that way. Once the curtain was pulled, you couldn't see anything in the back, out of the eyes of those wishing to cash in on thieving.

Old Chatham RV Park is not the best. We were in the same area as you were about 5 years ago and getting our 32’ travel trailer in there was very difficult. And it felt like your awning was going to touch your neighbor the sites were so close. We now go to Sweetwater Forest Family Campground and we like it much better; much more space to maneuver and distance between sites significantly greater.

To help you make parking much easer in tight areas you need a RV parking MULE, that has multiple hitch locations., such as picking the RV up between the axles so you can move the whole unit sideways. I know sounds weird but if you ever saw one work, you’d love it. OK I said my peace

oh my yes. That northeast spring pollen can be fun fun for sure. That was definitely a tight back in, but you did it and that is what counts. Always best to take your time and not do any damage for sure. Once in awhile when things are not quite where you want them, it does make it easier just to pull out and restart the process. It is amazing how even with lots of experience backing up, every now and then every one of us looks like a raw amateur. I am so sad that I missed you guys while you were here!! You were camping a couple of roads down from one of my Early Ed Centers that I Direct. The others are over the bridge, which by the way, I put my hazards on and go right up the middle like the 18 wheelers. One time I didn’t, a truck passed me and pushed me into that wall which my tires scraped. Two trips later, both tires on that side exploded because they were weakened. Not fun!!! Niether was the pollen this year. It is the worst that I have seen here in a long time. I hope you come back to the Cape, would love to meet up. Safe travels.

Over time you'll get faster and learn new ways of taking on different back in situations. Have fun out there and be safe!

That is Pine pollen. It is worse as you get further north especially in Maine. This spring was particularly bad. In fact we could see clouds of it wafting through the air and looking like low hanging storm clouds. It is not usually quite this bad.

Great video. While tree pollen is one of the three most common causes of seasonal allergies according to the Asthma and Allergy Foundation of America (AAFA), not all pollen is created equal. In fact, the yellow pollen that you see is not likely what is causing your seasonal allergy symptoms. The reason why yellow pollen is not commonly a seasonal allergy culprit is because yellow pollen is much heavier than other tree pollens. This means that when conifer trees release their spores, the pollen primarily falls straight to the ground (or on anything in the area as anyone who has made the mistake of parking under a pine tree in the spring can tell you!) Also, pine pollen is much larger than other tree pollen so that it cannot get up into the nasal passages as easily as smaller pollens. Finally, pine pollen has a waxy coat on it which prevents the protein inside of the pollen from leading to allergic reactions. That being said, even though pine tree pollen is not often responsible for seasonal allergy symptoms, if you have come into contact with the yellow dust, do your best not to touch your face, particularly your eyes, as that can cause itchiness and irritation. Also, geographically you’re not on the Cape you’re actually on the south shore, Massachusetts. Once you go over the canal you are officially on the Cape. Keep the videos coming, and I really like your camera work. Safe travels

They have tard and grass sites with slab or stone for the picnic tables. 2 nice pools one for adults .nice playground an a nice arcade. We booked for next year in Sep. Nice dog park the premium sites have a nice fire pit with chairs. We like mid cape but could not find a campground that was nice and the one that was OK was in denisport but we could not get it because there all turning to seasonal. Been going to the cape since 1981 and we usually rent cottages but this year bought a camper and we camped all summer. Sep. is when we go to the Cape. The low bridge clearance thing in New England is tough. I’m in ME now, heading South soon. I had a railroad underpass marked at 10’2” and I’m 10’1”. I decided not to chance it because a few blocks later I would have had a covered bridge marked at 9’6”. I decided turning around and going the long way was a good idea. Yes, the water filter is always connected. So for city hookup and also filling the tanks. It only takes a couple minutes to empty our 53 gallon black tank and then a couple more for the two 53 gallon gray. But filling up the 98 fresh takes about 45 minutes!

Yes, sometimes! Dumping the tanks is pretty fast ( like I said 5-10 minutes max) , but flushing the black tank can take longer. But you don’t need to do that every time. We’re on Cape Cod now … no pollen. When was this video made? Seems outdated.

Not sure how long the pollen lasted, but this was filmed on June 5th. 👍

@@IreneIronTravels- Pine pollen is normally late May to early June. A few weeks later you should be good, but then you have to deal with summer tourists.

I'm really enjoying your videos and have now seen most of them. However, as a volunteer firefighter and a driver saved by my seat belt multiple times, PLEASE tell Chris to put on her seat belt. It will likely save her life at some point. Sorry to be gruesome but this is an actual MVA I was at as a firefighter: A teen athlete ended up in literal pieces simply because she didn't wear her seat belt (her boyfriend was injured, but survived because he was wearing his). Not only did she lose her life, but 2 people, including her boyfriend, will never forget the grisly scene (or the dozen or so of first responders). I am leaving out A LOT of horrendous details as I think the point has been made. Please, please be safe and ALWAYS wear a seat belt.

Good catch, thank you! I'm not sure why she had her belt looped under her arm like that. I think when she put it like that when she was sitting in there waiting for me to finish spraying the RV down and forgot to move it back after we left. She normally wears her belt! I'll remind her again not to get into a habit of that! Thank you! 😊

No surprise you would be sick after breathing that pollen for weeks. No way in hell we would stay there. My wife would have died. She has terrible allergies.

"Ever wonder where the name Irene Iron Travels comes from?"😂 That's funny that a channel that originally started as a health and fitness channel, is worried that their electric bike batteries won't last long enough and that they might actually have to pedal at some point. I'm old enough to remember when pedaling a bicycle was a nice little fun workout.🤣

Dunno Chris looks like she could kick my butt and I’m a pretty big guy. I think she and probably Aaron get plenty of exercise. Sometimes you want to relax and just get around and not put in a HIIT workout.
