@@jeffyeah4256 I'm half Mexican, half Honduran. All I'm going to say is that you can't compare the two- you just can't. Honduras has its own beauty, it is one of the largest countries in Central America, has so much to offer and has ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to envy Mexico. Honduras shines with her own light. Comparing/contrasting is just dumb. I couldn't agree more with Brian, it truly indeed is one of the best kept secrets in the world. Mexico can keep the crazy spring breakers, while Honduras and her beautiful beaches stay intact and welcome the rich European tourists.
@Mermaid3242 жыл бұрын
@@jeffyeah4256 Mexico may have the ruins of Teotihuacan/Chichen Itza/Tulum- Honduras has the ancient ruins of Copan, the ancient Omoa castle, and other archeological sites. Mexico may have its beaches, so does Honduras: the three Bay Islands: Roatan, Utila and Guanaja. Little French Key, Mahogany Bay, West Bay, Isla Las Almejas, Cayos Cochinos. Plus a handful of gorgeous beaches like Puerto Cortes, La Ceiba, Tela, etc. Mexico may have waterfalls like in Chiapas, so does Honduras. like the tall Pulhaphanzak waterfall, Sabanagrande, and so many bodies of water in Francisco Morazan and Intibuca and throughout the Honduran republic. Mx may have Chapultepec lake, Hn has lake Yojoa. Mexico has Oaxaca, Honduras has Comayagua. Don't get me started on the food, dance, music, art, culture, etc. You'll never hear the end of it.

Roatan is famous for its amazing offshore reefs and perfectly suited for both new and advanced divers. It's a well-known destination for coral gardens, shipwrecks such as the Odyssey and Aguila, sharks and all sorts of fish, but it's also famous for encountering the largest fish in the sea: the majestic whale sharks

You chose the right destination. I am so proud to be Honduran and this is one of the Honduran gems. Also mainland Honduras is beautiful. Its waterfalls like Pulhaphanzak. Other waterfalls and bodies of water in Francisco Morazan, colonial towns like Comayagua, and of course: modern metropolis like San Pedro Sula and the Honduran Capital: Tegucigalpa.

Oooooh man!!! I am SO glad you stopped and spoke with Douglas (4:50) at the Tijuana Style taco place!!! His food is delicious! Everything is fresh and the tortillas are even made to order. Make sure you ask for his special sauce. A little goes a long way because it's spicy but totally worth it. The Melon (watermelon) juice is good too.

Great to see you having a good time. The bay islands can overwhelm you the first time there. There are two other islands besides Roatan. Utila and guanaja are nearby. Also dozens of beautiful smaller cayes. Cayo cochinos has the best food. Authentic Garifuna cuisine. Hard to believe people believe on such small islands, but they do. Roatan has the strongest west Indian feel. They sound like Jamaicans to me. That's how diverse Honduras is. Find french key, a must. Roatan was a pirate haven. Still has modern day pirates. You will see them in the bars. Take your time and enjoy.

There's one not far from there up by The Drunken Sailor and 2 by the gas station a couple blocks or so east of there but any of the ones in West End may or may not be working at any given time. Your best bet are to load up at the airport. There's about 3 or 4 there now. Tip: There is a store(I can't remember the name) north of the chocolate factory and south of Half Moon Bay on the NON-beach side that has a "Cash Back" sign in the window. If you go in there you can do a "transaction" and get however many Lempiras you need back.
