My wife made me retire recently, so she got me a starter kit to do resin jewelry, and I want to thank you, you are my go to guy for hints and tips. Thanks again.

Oh, wow, Steve! This is exciting, as I used to have a wood burning kit when I was a kid. Much to my disappointment, it never got hot enough to do anything but give *me* nasty burns! Never even scorched my wood! I have never heard of wood burning paste, so thank you for telling us about it! I LOVE that box...your mum is so blessed to have you as a son. ❤😊👍

I've just spent a whole day drawing out a beautiful design then went over with the paste then the pen. I wish I'd watched this video 1st. I didn't rotate the heat gun and I've scorched the whole project so badly. Less is definitely more I've found that the thicker the burning gel the longer it takes to darken. I will try again tomorrow i feel really disappointed with it now and my lack of patience with the heat gun. Thank for the great videos xxx

I used a scorch pen (or marker, whatever it's called) on my stamps and then stamped on small wood discs and used the heat gun. It made lovely ornaments for Christmas. I have siberian huskies so I used a husky stamp.

Hi Steve. I thoroughly enjoy your content and all of your experiments. You mentioned here the hardness of the resin you used. I have Mr Resin UV resin that I have been using on my jewelry pieces to seal them, and it works well. However, I was wondering if you have found a hard type clear UV resin that is very durable and hard to scratch, that might work better? I would love to hear any thoughts or suggestions you have. Thank you for all the work you put into your videos. Your experience and experiments are priceless.✨💖✨

Very impressive. Would have been cool to add a little gold leaf around the outermost edges of the rose petals. Just a touch, on the furthest part from the center of each flower.

Hi Steve. Just curious if the wood burning paste reacts differently to things like pencil? Say if I was to draw a design on 1st rather than a stencil. Keep up with great work love watching your videos you’ve given me so many ideas for my resin.
@Nrscathy60 Жыл бұрын
Absolutely cool! I noticed the color changed around the burned areas, yellowed a bit, only after spraying on the sealer. Was this caused due to the area still being hot from the heat gun? It wasn't like that before spraying. Maybe it was just lighting.❤
@bernadettelawson2916 Жыл бұрын
I’ve got a bog standard heat embossing heat gun, but I’m guessing that won’t be hot enough. Am I right?

Now, does that resin leave a film on your finished product? cause that specific resin the tabletop one only, leaves a film that does not come off in my experience. Just wondering if it was just me or not, thanks :)

@mistawallaceRecords Жыл бұрын
If you mold comes out perfect why do people sand it and polish it. Just let it as is.

I have seen you do this 2 times now and not sure if it is the camera or not but it looks like it makes the wood yellow around what you burned. Is it me or the camera?
@Peggysue661 Жыл бұрын
I see a halo too..what is causing it?
@RH-rz9tp13 күн бұрын
It's from the dye in the product. They put it there so you can see where your design is after it dries. You can make your own paste with ammonium chloride, corn starch & water...no dye, so no stain color. Also cheaper than all the pre-made pastes.
