Years ago we used a little craft electric frying pan (about 6” x 6“) in a similar manner. We also used the ultra thick embossing powder to build up layers on top of the coloured piece and then pressed a patterned stamp into it before it cooled. This gave colour and texture. In those days we used red rubber stamps. Not sure if clear stamps would withstand the heat of the still-soft embossing powder? Must give this a go again!

On a different note: I asked about the font you used for your sentiments on your December 22, 2023 video -- in particular the one you used on the "Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas" stamp. You told me to give you a nudge if it slipped your mind to locate it so consider this your nudge.😉 Keep playing and then take us along your journeys of discovery. They're always fun.

Oh what great great great fun!!!!!!! I have used my mug warmer but with this heating from either side would be so much more effective! Once you collect your scraping from your parchment they can simply be added to the next batch, no waste! And using the metallics, how great the final sprinkling would be with a glittered powder...... and using a patterned red rubber stamp after applying your embossing ink and then topping your still molten powders offers a fabulous relief and dimension, image scrollwork or damask patterns and how fab would this technique be for faux wax seals? Ooooooooh you so started the ideas to churning!!!!! Ever blessings and thank you for the inspiration!!!!! 🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋

Quite amazing that it even works on wood! It reminds me a bit of the melt pots we had years ago! Thanks for sharing! I have ordered one!

It was really thick as well, I have my old melt pot, I suppose I could have used that, but this was so much prettier 😂😂😂

I love gadgets too! I was going to order one of these- then I saw I already had one! The idea of the cover heating from above makes it very good for melting. Btw, you can also use embossing powders on metal embellishments, it makes them look enameled. Love your voice and your narration. Subscribed! Thank you!

You can use an extension with an on/off button to turn it off. That way you don't need to be plugging and unplugging it. They also sell a separate plug with and on/ off switch.

Oh why didn’t I think of that, especially as it has a short lead, thank you 🤗🤗

How did you stop the embossing powder from sticking to the lid? I know you had the paper on the bottom.
@marionemberson10 ай бұрын
When I bought it I didn’t realise the lid even had an element in it, but it’s recessed like the bottom, so there’s room … woo hoo 🤗🤗

Have you tried remelting the bits instead of throwing them away?

I do most of the time, when I’m filming though, I’m caught up in what’s in my brain at that time and forget to do things 🫣🫣🥰🥰

Bravo ! Two thumbs up! I have a bunch of embossing powders leftover from my card making days , and was wondering what to do with them. They weren’t cheap. And for twelve bucks and a trip to Walmart, I can make some great jewelry pieces. Thanks!

I wonder if you could put resin over the top. You got me thinking now!!

Absolutely, or just double emboss it with clear Ultra High, it goes super shiny xxx

I have a question with chip board or the wood after time does the melted embossing powder lift off or will it stick well? No embossing ink necessary? Have you tried UV resin on to as a sealer and the magnifying aspect. Wonderful video and I really appreciate the tip of metal spoon and actually seeing your ideas and process together. Thank you for the wonderful video. Second time I’ve watched it. 😊❤🎉

Hi, I’ve never had any peel off, just don’t do it to thin. No ink required ! I do use resin, but not on these, I just use a couple of coats of clear gloss ultra high embossing powder. 🥰🥰🥰
