Hi Terry, another great video, awesome to see a happy man at work.. I would highly recommend using Fulvic acid with your foliar spray to greatly increase the efficiency of the NPK that you are applying, and will result in less costs.

Hi Terry Love your videos can never wait for teh next one Do you foliar spray during the "winter " here also as i see my durian trees have stopped sending out new shoots now that it is cooler. Should i wait until January before starting the foliar spray again I don't mind spraying right through the year as I have twelve trees for my wife when i depart this rock I fertilize also with 16.16.16 every three months You have a really fantastic way of spreading the news as there is not much on Durian farming detail in Thailand

i still spray weekly. There still are bugs fungi and other pathogens we must prevent . When I spray for these I still add amino and minerals for phitisensisas. I'm still adding NPK to the spray also. Now I'm using a broad spectrum NPK it's 21 21 21 .I'm also adding magnesium to prevent sunburn on the unmature leaves

Hi Brett , I'm using NPK 9 9 9 and apply ground dressing every 4 weeks on this farm. We are now at the end of the rainy season so I will do one more application until jun . As for my foliar application I spray once a week. I'm going to do an updated vid on what I spray weekly soon that will explain what I'm spraying for . Iron is also very important for the leaves, greening and photosynthesis. Make sure they have enough of soluble iron.

i do. I'm working on a new system for spraying .I have been testing it for a while now .Basically depending on the leaf cycle will depend on what I use on the tree to promote growth .so far it's working good .I plan on sharing it with everyone soon on you tube

Interesting about leave receptors and the time it stops feeding. Where can i read literature on that in case i dont find some. Btw, I have only less than 25 trees. Started a week ago because i had to wait for a certain variety durian graft to harden. Based in the Philippines, so we have the same weather.

I have the same issue with some trees now .I'm using a fungicide pouring it around the base of the tree and another treatment by injecting into the bark a folirfos fungicide .

YOU SHOULD TRY TO USE PVC PIPE PUT ON THE SIDE OF YOUR TRUCK BOTH SIDE LONG OVER THE DURIAN TREE, THEN PUT SPRAY IN PVC PIPE WITH SWITCH ON OFF THEN DRIVE THE TRUCK WITH SPRAY ON BOTH SIDE WHILE DRIVING. BUT, MOST OF DURIAN FARM THEY HAVE THERE TREE CLOSE TOGETHER NOT FAR APART LIKE YOUR. OR TRY DRONE BUT LITTLE BET EXPENSIVE.

I have spray booms for my spray tank they definitely work well but when the trees are smaller it's better to use the hand held for now.next year I'll start using the booms .Thanks for the tip 🙏if did not have the booms your idea with PVC is good👍

It is a Bs 350 the tank is 350 liters it comes with booms but I took them off and attached the spray hoses .the cost is about 28000 B . I have to say it works great . I saw you posted a few vids about your farm I like how you made the drainage ditches in the rows 🙏👍

Thank you so much for your reply. I am retired British expat whose Thai wife loves farming so I follow her wishes and started mango farming 6 years ago. I did not realise it is a very labour intensive and chemical intensive farming plus there is no profit in mangoes. We decided to divert the farm to durians last year. This will be about 15 months since we put in 150 plants in our main farm. We are going to plant about 150 trees in our second farm less than a kilometre from our main house. I have been following your videos and learning more about durians. Thank you so much🙏👍

I am not sure if even mature durian plants will survive the winter at my location in Australia which is Newcastle in New South Wales which is north of Sydney because I have had a couple of durian seedling plants die on me in an unheated greenhouse during winter time & they say that any further south of Mackay in Queensland is too cold for them to grow during winter time in Australia. So I am unsure if a mature durian will grow in my area because it gets below 50°F or 10°C overnight during winter time despite me living in a 10b Cold hardiness zone & durian plants are meant to be cold hardy in a 10-12 zone yet they only seem to survive in an 11b-12 zone over here !

I even had some trees die in the cold season here . No matter how good we take care of them we still find trees dying for one reason or the other .. I just walked the farm this morning and found one tree Turing yellow getting ready to die😭

@@TMDurianfarmer Do you know if there's any possibility of growing them at a 32.67°S latitude ? I'm on a similar latitude to Charleston in South Carolina & I am a bit more on the coast,I know that Dallas in Texas is but it might get colder there during winter time due to its inland location,I live just north of Sydney in Australia where it gets down to about 33-34°F overnight during winter time. They say forget about growing them further south than Mackay in Queensland in Australia which is about 21° south of the equator & a tropical location. Someone in Southern California is growing one in a pot with some success but he protects it from the cold during winter time,I don't know it will ever be planted outside in the ground or if it will live out its life in a pot !

@@RussellBooth1977 I don't think it's possible . You would have to do what the guy did in southern cal . In southern Florida there are a few durian trees growing but they are in a giant green house. That cold weather that holds for an extended time will kill them .
