@@deanneghoreishi8605this is biblically inaccurate. God is quite HONEST about his people. The same way a parent would be with a wayward child. Most of the Bible is filled with God HARSHLY criticizing them. He called them stiffnecked, an adulterous nation that didn't deserve his goodness. He then rejected them, cursed them, and promises to punish those that continue to REJECT Yeshua in the end times in his wrath. God is clear that he preserved them ONLY because of his promise made to his friend, Abraham. And, to the man after his own heart, David. And for his OWN names sake. This woman is a light because she's a believer in Yeshua and she's filled with the Holy Spirit, which gives her wisdom. The holy spirit resides ONLY in believers of Yeshua. God's not pleased with all of Israel. Tribulation is coming soon and they are the target. We need to continue praying that the eyes of more of them will be opened before time runs out. The archgeolgical work they're doing in the city is wonderful. But don't forget, there's a split within the city. Some in favor of the agenda that furthers along Judaism which vehemently rejects Christ as Messiah. And others who are Believers who are ringing out just as loud.

To me, this would seem to indicate that perhaps the Temple was not as far north as most everyone believes. From the maps showing the Millo, it was located east of the northern end of the City of David. Josephus stated that the eastern columns of the Temple were at the Millo and that the Temple was not readily visible when coming in from the north. The Roman historian Tacitus stated that there was a spring up under the Temple which would match with the Millo location and would be inside this northern moat defense.

Was the water shaft dried up? I thought it had water in it. 2 Samuel 5 8 On that day David had said, “Anyone who conquers the Jebusites will have to use the water shaft to reach those ‘lame and blind’ who are David’s enemies.” That is why they say, “The ‘blind and lame’ will not enter the palace.”

The Hebrew reads simply "tzinor", which in modern Hebrew is a pipe. I also wondered about this. There has never been a satisfactory explanation for where Yoav entered the city.

@@chanaheszter168 Quoted from etzion website, Sefer Shmuel Bet - Lesson 11 Chapter 5 - The Conquest of Jerusalem By Rav Amnon Bazak Let us begin with the matter of the "tzinor." Most of the commentators understand that the reference is to a tower, but by its very nature, a "tzinor" is connected in one way or another to water. Indeed, Ralbag understands it as a gutter. New light was shed on this word with the uncovering of the amazing underground water system in the city of David, known as Warren's pier. There have been new revelations regarding this system since it was first exposed in the nineteenth century, but one thing remains clear and accepted - it is an underground channel through which water could be brought into the city of Jerusalem from its primary source, the Gichon spring, without having to leave its walls. In light of these findings, many are inclined to say that it is this system that is called "tzinor," and that David offered a reward to anyone who managed to penetrate through it into the stronghold, and thus apparently to surprise the guards, to open the gates of the fortified city, and to allow David's army to enter the city.

From the bottom of my heart, THANK YOU for doing this work! I can’t describe the joy I feel hearing about the finds of biblical times! Old and New Testament. I don’t need it to confirm my faith in Christ but my mind loves to picture those times when Jesus and Bible hero’s walked around. And archaeological finds really takes my mind there. Love yall and God bless! Keep it up!!

Very exciting discovery. 2 Samuel 5:8 says they climbed up a “water shaft” to get into the city and attack from the inside. 1 Chronicles 11:6 reveals that leading this daring, special forces style infiltration was how Joab got to be David’s commander of his forces. Joab was also the son of Zeruiah, David’s sister, so David’s nephew. Joab and his two brothers had been with David since the days he was hiding in caves from King Saul.
