Taylormade burner 5 hybrid £50 Ping G20 6-PW £85 Ping gorge tour wedge 56 deg £12 Ping cadence b365 putter £35 im new and just shot my first round under 100 in the last couple of months. Said i'm going to go and get fit for a full set when i break 90. cheers

Hey Simon, thanks for looking at my bag! For my whole set everything together was under $1000, 3 wood driver and putter together were $450, irons were $400 and the wedges were $100 for the bundle👍

I put together a second hand bag last year and I love it. Driver: Callaway ERC+ fusion (Free), 3 wood: Titleist 910f (£42, golfclubs4cash), Hybrid: MD superstong (free), Irons: Mizuno MP-15 4-pw (£209, Golfclubs4cash, I actually love these more than anything else on earth!), Wedges: Cleveland 588-rtx rotex 2.0 - 50, 54, 60 degree (all in £66, Ebay), Putter: Odyssey white hot 2-ball (Free). All the free ones i picked up off my uncle or FB marketplace. Looking to swap out the driver when the summer comes around, I like the idea of matching it to the 3-wood, but I think i'm gonna get a callaway X-hot driver for around £60-£70

Damn I’ll be 35 this year and have been rocking thrift store clubs since high school. Right now I’m using original Ping Eye 1’s and a Taylormade bubble shaft driver. Ping zing putter and Cleveland wedges, oh and a ping zing 5 wood (yes real wood). And these kids are using Scotty Cameron’s and M5’s.

Simon I noticed in some of these WITB for some of the higher handicap players you are recommending they move to forged irons (ie Titleist AP2) to learn to hit the center of the club face. I am currently a 18.6 handicap. My question is should I play a super game improvement iron (Mavrik Max) or a forged iron (Apex 19)? Thank you and your videos are the best!

These videos are really interesting Simon, I actually like them better than the ones you used to do on the simulator lol. As someone who generally struggles with a 3 wood, but can hit a hybrid pretty well, do you think a 5 wood would be a better option for me? I'm 26 handicap beginner. Club head speed pretty good, think it's 110mph with driver, ball speed 155-160mph. Thanks in advance.

Morning Simon , my question is a bit different, all my clubs were bought in December/January so due to weather and this virus havent used them as much as I would like , no handicap yet but going round my 9 hole course on avg 8 over par , how long should it take before your use to a set of clubs ?? Also can't seem to hit driver further than 230 carry on avg , hitting 7i(Cobra F9 )approx 160 carry ( 7i swing speed 84-89) driver is Benross evolution R, I'll try and video bag

Jack: With a 5 HC the JPX Forged are probably a bit too much of a game improver club for you. Ideally I would suggest 919 Tours which are just beautiful but consider a combo set with the HMB at the 3i/4i maybe even 5i. However a quick trip on ebay shows you could pick up MP18 SCs at a reasonable price which could be an alternative to the Tours. Great choice in driver and fairway wood though - they will be good for some time to come. People get fixated about the number on the bottom of the club rather than the loft. My i210 8i has a loft of 37 degrees I hit it just over 150 yards, give me a 7i with a loft of 37 degrees I will hit it just over 150 yards. So I would not worry about how far you hit your clubs. IMO you should keep the irons you have at least for another 3-4 years but you might look into getting some different shafts in them as you get bigger, stronger and faster

Ps just keep in mind I sent you a message on your other video about replacing my 5 wood. $300 Ping Rapture Driver/New $100 M1 5 wood/Like New off a buddy. This is what I’m most proud of! $250 3&4 hybrid, 4-GW Titleist 710 AP1’s/ Very Good off a buddy. $150 Cleveland RTX 2.0 54&60•/New. Free Odyssey Marxman EXO Putter/New (won closest to pin on men’s night thanks to the AP1’s) That’s a grand total of $800 for my bag and to put that into perspective one epic flash driver here in Canada is $700. 🤦🏼‍♂️

I only go used, usually EBay, try the more well known vendors rather than independents. Callaway driver, 3 and 5 woods, Titleist 712MB 3-PW, Vokey wedges 52, 56 degree, Odyssey Rossie XG putter. Entire bag approx. $600ish. Love the blades.
