Such a wonderful opportunity to experience! Seeing how devoted Brooke and Jason are to any and all activities MaryCarl enjoys is so very important and touching. She will know she deserves to be treated with respect and dignity and her thoughts and opinions are valuable. Plus Brooke and Jason were obviously interested and invested in the process, they were genuinely enjoying themselves. Personally I would be glued to the opening in the plastic so I wouldn't miss anything! A live cam would be better than me wrapped in a sleeping bag with an umbrella during stormy weather overnight watching birds. (I am not a stalker. Just expressing enthusiasm re being able to witness a loving family helping a feathered couple expand their family.) This is literally a chance-of-a-lifetime for most of us. Thank you Brooke, MaryCarl and Jason!

This is so amazing I've always wanted these beautiful birds but my dad said they were too exotic for out temps. I think I was referring to the peacocks who looked like these tho. I'll just sit and enjoy 😉 BLESS you all for sharing their adventures.

I think that's a great idea... putting in a camera that provides a live feed so EVERYONE can watch what's happening, whatever time of the day, and then the birds don't feel like they're being interrupted every minute. Kind of like the eagle's nest that are set up in the wild.

Brooke, I have to say I got emotional when I saw them adding to their nest at the end of the video. That's why I watch ya'll's videos. It touches my heart and eases the days stresses and worries when I see how much you guys love each other and the animals. I love how Mrs. Cog Hill's format is a little different to Cog Hill's videos and watch both is such a treat for me. You guys are the real deal. Neither of you are boastful or prideful, you don't show off or preach to the viewers and I really appreciate it. Ya'll just do what you do - Hands down, Jason, Brooke and MC, your videos outshine all others. I'm looking forward to seeing how those beautiful pigeons build their beautiful little family. Ya'll be good and God Bless!

Oh, if y'all had some Spanish moss, I bet they'd love that... it's so soft. The only thing I'd be worried about, would be introducing mites and other such parasites. I know y'all have a regimen for treating parasites and everything and have everything under control, though. ❤️ Watching them build their nest is so cool! I'm with you, Brooke, I could watch them all day. It would be really cool if Jason could set up an un-manned camera in the aviary (like a security camera or something, only better quality video) so y'all could have lots of footage, and possibly catch the egg laying and hatching on video... I'd watch the stew out of that, for real! ❤️ Love y'all and all your content, thank you so much for sharing 🥰

I lived in Papua New Guinea for a bunch of years and so I looked up descriptions of the VCP and definitely they are mostly a lowlands habitat bird, which means hotter weather year round and rainy season and then drier months etc. They live in swampy areas and also lowland jungles and grasslands. It’s probably a treat to have the warmth of the plastic and enables them to want to breed. They are heavily hunted in New Guinea and I never saw a live one in all the years there (same with birds of paradise). I did see a lovely trio of them in the San Diego zoo several years ago which was a treat. I have New Guinean friends here in Los Angeles and they haven’t seen many of them either! All that to say that these are wonderful birds from a very interesting land, and they really like the warmth, so that plastic is likely a very good idea! They are private birds so places to hide and fly up to for safety are great as well. I think you’re doing a great job!!!
