How does one title this video? SpaceX's Massive Updates for Flight 4 are Astounding!? Perhaps, but more bizarre to me this week was Chinas Rocket Building!? You Won't Believe What They Did with a Rocket! Yes, this is real! It isn't some photoshopped AI image. Outside of that, with the previous week being a little quieter than usual, it had that hallmark feeling of calm before the storm, and boy was that right. SpaceX are gearing up not just for Starship Flight Test 4, but also for the future flights. SpaceX's Massive Updates for Flight 4 are Astounding! Why have SpaceX been doing the fastest tower arm tests even seen so far? Yes, they look to be preparing for a booster catch right now. Certainly SpaceX's Biggest Challenge Yet! Could this Really Work? So much to dive into today. But outside Texas, there’s been an absolute flurry of activity and honestly it is one of those weeks where it was hard to figure out what to focus on at any given time. Sit back, relax and hold on. This is another massive one.

The wing pivot on an F-14 is made of titanium and is approx. an inch thick. This pivot “tang” is placed between an upper and lower titanium ‘clevis’, one on each end of the center titanium wing box, of similar thickness with a bearing. Just thought it interesting while considering chopstick precision. It is amazing that I got to see he moon landing when I was 12 years old, saw the first deep space and planetary probes, worked on the space shuttle program, and now can watch the next phase of progress off planet taking place.

@Max_Janszen, I watched the Apollo 11 landing between High School graduation and starting college. I'll be 73 shortly. When they initially announced Artemis I was excited that I might live to see men on the moon once again but with NASA's current lackadaisical pace I doubt I'll see it now. I see no sense of urgency in NASA these days.

..... 🔴 QUESTION: Will there be a second chance for salvation after death? ****************************** 🔴 Dear people, don't waste your life! Your sins can be forgiven surely by the Lord Jesus Christ! Repent and believe the Gospel! The LORD JESUS Christ spoke about His return. 🔴 ANSWER: While the idea of a second chance for salvation is appealing, the Bible is clear that death is the end of all chances. Hebrews 9:27 tells us that we die, and then face judgment. So, as long as a person is alive, he has a second, third, fourth, fifth, etc. chance to accept Lord Jesus Christ and be saved (John 3:16; Romans 10:9-10; Acts 16:31). Once a person dies, there are no more chances. ----- ● Hebrews 9 27. And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment: 28. So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation. ----- 🔴 The Apostle John when he saw the Lord Jesus Christ in Heaven: ----- ● Revelation 1 17. And when I saw him, I fell at his feet as dead. And he laid his right hand upon me, saying unto me, Fear not; I Am the First and the Last: 18. I Am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I Am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the KEYS of Hell and of death. ----- 🔴 If ever someone should have repented when given a second chance to see clearly the truth, it was the rich man. But although he was in torment in fire, he only asked that Abraham send Lazarus back to earth to warn his brothers so they didn’t have to suffer the same fate. There was no repentance in his heart, only regret for where he found himself. Abraham’s answer says it all: “And he said to him, If they do not hear Moses and the Prophets, they will not be persuaded, even though one rose from the dead” (Luke 16:31). Here we see that the witness of the Scriptures is sufficient for salvation for those who believe it, and no other revelation will bring about salvation to those who do not. No second, third, or fourth chances would be enough to turn the heart of stone into a heart of flesh. 🔴 What about those who do not believe? Wouldn’t they repent and believe if they were given a second chance? The answer is no, they would not because their hearts are not changed simply because they die. Their hearts and minds “are at enmity” against God and won’t accept Him even when they see reality of Heaven. This is evidenced clearly in the story of the rich man and Lazarus in Luke 16:19-31. 🔴 Moreover and of big importance against the deceptive teachings of Satan who deceives people by those he possesses: Abraham tells the rich man that it is impossible for anyone there to come to Heaven from the torments of fire or vice versa. (Luke 16:26) If someone is in the home of the dead, in torment, waiting for judgment, will not enter to Heaven! It's impossible! If someone tells you otherwise is deceiver. 🔴 To understand what happens to nonbelievers after they die, we go to Revelation 20:11-15 which describes the Great White Throne judgment and the Lord Jesus is the Judge of mankind John 5:22 "For the Father judgeth no man, but hath committed all judgment unto the Son". 🔴 Here takes place the opening of the books and “the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works.” The books contain all the thoughts and deeds of those being judged, and we know from Romans 3:20 that “by the works of the Law is no flesh justified.” Therefore, all who are judged by their works and thoughts are condemned to Hell. Believers in Christ, on the other hand, are not judged by the books of works, but their names are found written in another book: the “Lamb’s Book of Life” (Revelation 21:27). These are the ones who have believed on the Lord Jesus, and they alone will be allowed to enter heaven. 🔴 The key to understanding this is the Lamb’s Book of Life. Anyone whose name is written in this book was “saved before the foundation of the world” (Ephesians 1:4) by God’s sovereign saving grace to be part of His Son’s bride, the church of Jesus Christ. These people need no “second chance” at salvation because their salvation has been secured by Christ. He chose us, He saved us, and He will keep us saved. Nothing can separate us from Christ (Romans 8:39). Those for whom He died will be saved because Lord Jesus will see to it. He declared “all that the Father has given Me will come to Me” (John 6:37), and “I give to them eternal life, and they shall never ever perish, and not anyone shall pluck them out of My hand” (John 10:28). For believers, there is no need for a second chance because the first chance is sufficient. 🔴 In Philippians 2:10-11 we have this testimony: “That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.” One day, everyone will bow before Lord Jesus and recognize that He is The Lord and The Savior. At that point, though, it will be too late for salvation. After death, all that remains for the unbeliever is judgment and damnation in Hell fire for eternity (Matthew 25:41, Mark 9: 43-44, 2-Peter 3:7, Revelation 20:14-15, Revelation 21:8). That is why we must trust in Lord Jesus Christ in this life. That is why we must follow the Lord Jesus Christ! ----- ● Matthew 4 17. From that time Jesus began to preach, and to say, Repent: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand. ----- ● Matthew 28 19. Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: 20. Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I Am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen. ----- ● Mark 6 12. And they went out, and preached that men should repent. ----- ● Acts 2 38. Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

I would say between 30-50 m2 is small, 50-80 is medium sized and over 80 is a big apartment(for one person). For a family of 4 80 m2 would be small.

Starship catching. My suggestion is, would it be a good idea to pick up the starship loaded with the landing fuels lifted to the tower's maximum height? Then start the landing engines while held by the arms, then when the hover has stabilised, release the arms, hover around a little and recatch with the arms and recovery?

Another day, another attempt at making the N-1 remake fly. Thing is, even if one test launch succeeds it's not a sign that's it's ready to go. Problem is that the mission parameters for successful landing on the moon combined with the demands for something like a dozen of refuellings with the failure rate of turbopumps and them being left in space for a long period of time before being used makes the whole ordeal extremely likely to fail. Not to mention the high risk of the whole thing just tipping over on the moon's surface. The US's biggest mistake was letting this thing get governent funding when there were better alternatives (both ambitious and standard) on the table.

Pictures of the Starship heatshield test rig??? The only really new thing about Starship is the heatshield approach and yet after 4 years, the heat tiles ARE STILL falling off??? It is very simple, if the Starship is to achieve ITS MOST IMPORTANT GOAL, rapid reusability, then ALL of the heat shield has to STAY ATTACHED during launch and reentry!!! And yet, the last news I heard is that SpaceX is still trying to figure out a glue to use in attaching the heat tiles. If the heat shield cannot be made to work, Starship will need a major redesign OR rapid reuse will be off the table because the current Starship will need major repairs AFTER EVERY LAUNCH just like the Space Shuttle. If rapid reusability is off the table, refueling Starships in orbit is OFF THE TABLE with all that implies. During the past 4 years, I have seen many pictures of SpaceX's engine testing, but NO pictures of their rig for testing heat shield implementations. Does SpaceX have one? If so, I'd like to see some pictures and understand what kind of testing they are doing and how often. OBVIOUSLY, the testing SpaceX has done so far has been INSUFFICIENT because during EVERY launch of the Starship upper stage or complete rocket, we see heat tiles falling off during launch, let alone during reentry. Since SpaceX does employ good engineers, my conclusion is that it is very possible that current materials DO NOT PERMIT the design and implementation of a heat shield that can support rapid reusability. If this is the case, and if NASA knows this, then a whole bunch of NASA administrators who buy into SpaceX's plans the depend on refueling in orbit need to be investigated for criminal stupidity, if not outright corruption.

This is just another Awesome update from Marcus and the team!😊 This is the age of space and SpaceX! Best wishes for CFT on Monday. Looking forward to a successful mission. 😊 I suspect that SpaceX is performing synchronization of the "virtual tower" coordinates with the tower catch arms at Starbase prior to IFT-4.

As well as a lower tangential velocity the further you get from the equator, you also get heavier, not by much, maybe 0.5kg. The old Nintendo Wii balance boards (fancy weighing scales) used an internal table to calibrate for this based on the area of the world you specified in settings.

With the large number of starship refuelings required, how realistically is it that Artemis will be a success?
@hamzahkhan8952
@hamzahkhan8952 27 күн бұрын
i definitely think it'll happen. but i bet it'll take a while to prove that spacex's HLS system is reliable/safe enough to actually go through with an important mission like artemis. also, nasa mentioned that HLS only needs to land a couple dozen tons on the moon. spacex can easily meet those requirments with much less refuelings. 8+ refuelling is only needed for landing a starship at its full capacity (100+tons)
@lazarus2691
@lazarus2691 27 күн бұрын
I think it's fairly plausible - just not on the current timeline. SpaceX are currently doing 12 Falcon 9 launches a month. They only need to get Starship to about 2.5 launches per month for the proposed Artemis timeline, so quite a bit less. I see no reason to think they can't achieve that (or indeed even match Falcon 9's rate), it's just a question of how long it takes them to get there.
@AUniqueHandleName444
@AUniqueHandleName444 26 күн бұрын
Starship refuelings won't be a huge deal given how cheap Starship launches will be when they nail reusability.
@AUniqueHandleName444
@AUniqueHandleName444 26 күн бұрын
@@lazarus2691 They should be able to exceed F9's launch rate, given that it's fully reusable and they won't need to keep building 2nd stages just to tread water. We'll be looking at the first serious spaceship 'fleet' in history very soon. I think the largest barrier will be regulatory overhead once they get the technical aspect down. There are only so many sites that Starship can launch from, and they require huge effort for each launch.
@lazarus2691
@lazarus2691 26 күн бұрын
@@AUniqueHandleName444 I agree that they'll likely exceed Falcon 9's launch rate, I'm just not sure how long it will take them to get to that point. Starship is designed with lessons learned from Falcon, but it's got so much new stuff I expect them to run into some new problems to deal with (e.g tiles). Though personally I think the real lessons are probably going to be ground-side. Stage 0 has a whole bunch of new stuff that the Falcon pads don't. So it might take them a few more years to really get it cranking up - which isn't a big deal in the grand scheme of things, but will affect Artemis.

So the success of the laser based communication tests imho proves that there's a huge hole in the Fermi Paradox idea concerning the lack of extraterrestrial radio signals detected. If laser transmission of data turns out to be the most efficient method of communicating it could eventually lead to everything transitioning to lasers (just as SpaceX is doing with their Starlink satellite communication) which could eventually leading to our civilization going "radio silent". A sufficiently advanced civilization would likely be using far more advanced technology and not be emitting any radio signals at all for us to detect, especially if they are themselves worried about being detected (imo a SMART survival choice ;?).
@unitrader403
@unitrader403 27 күн бұрын
depends on the type of communication. for point to point with line of sight outside of atmosphere laser is probably best, but broadcast (one sender, multiple receivers) or omnidirectional reception (multiple senders for one receiver, or the sender can be in any direction from the receiver) Radio is still better suited. Also for Over-the-Horizon comms, and really long range through an atmosphere is something laser comms could not manage resonably imo.
@dextermorgan1
@dextermorgan1 27 күн бұрын
The entire Fermi paradox is wrong. It's based off of values they don't have and couldn't possibly know. Point to point laser communication definitely puts a damper on SETI and their goals. Radio is primitive. An advanced civilization wouldn't be using it. We're wasting time and money looking for the same communication tech we use.
@Jaker788
@Jaker788 27 күн бұрын
Laser is very limited high bandwidth application. It's possible it could replace microwave dishes on remote towers, but due to atmospheric scatter it's limited in distance and weather compared to microwave. Radio is pretty much always going to be relied upon unless new physics and a means to communicate reliably outside of the electromagnetic spectrum. It can go through buildings and trees, it works in the rain and through clouds. The main reason laser communication is viable for satellite interconnect is because there's no atmosphere or weather and the line of sight is huge with no obstructions. It's fiber optic without the cable.

But radio will drown out in the background noise after some 10's of lightyears tops, lack of radio is anyway a lame argument.

I really had no idea how they were going to pull off catching the booster without damaging it or the arms. The ramps on the booster and the foamed arms seem like such a simple yet effective idea. I guess I never imagined something like that would be used in something so big. The simple way is the best way I guess. Lol

For disposable Falcon 9 launches, they don't just remove the landing legs and grid fins to reduce weight. They almost certainly remove them to reuse them. And of course, on a disposable mission, they'll use their oldest equipment (well, oldest that the customer approves). We also don't have data on what engines they used; we know they can swap them, but that increases the turn-around time, so it probably doesn't happen that often. Still, you would expect on a disposable mission, they might as well use older engines.
