18:35 matt if u want to visit some historic places, first I think u should go to museums across Malioboro street, like Sonobudoyo and Benteng Vredeburg. If u wanna hear the history, u can ask for a tour guide with u. After that, maybe u can continue trip to the Beringarjo traditional market (there's a lot of traditional stuffs to look/buy).

Matt, Im indonesian and please let me correct some translation from the video 4:19 Indonesian guy: What are you looking for? (Hes asking if youre maybe looking for a certain restaurant, a hotel, a train station, bus stop, etc,) (cari apa ini? Cari apa?) Matt: Im from Lithuania Guy: oh, not where you are from, how can i say "what are you looking for" in english? (Oh bukan berasal, carian(cari) apa itu..) Matt: From europe Guy: Like this (gini) (I have no idea what the guy is saying about "like this" probably something he did with his friend back before he met you, but this far nothing shows me that he meant anything offensive) Matt: and where are you from? Guy: Klaten (a city in central java) Matt: from yogyakarta? Guy: No, klaten. (bukan, klaten) Its an indonesian culture that we treat tourists nicely and its sooo beyond what is expected from an indonesian to just randomly offend and make fun of a tourist. But im not mad for you wrongly translating it, i can understand our language is so different from yours and that means it's hard for you. Instead im amazed that you could speak some indonesian already, i have no idea how did you learn those. Probably ask an indonesian what something means when you feel unsure what something means

I think Matt shoe is more better than dale phillips. Dale phillips is not explore all Indonesia area. As i know he been to Jakarta ,Medan and Bali and Tanah Toraja only but i have been waiting for he will visit to another province in Indonesia but still didnt visit until now. He always make a video in India philipines and pakistan. I dunno why he didnt visit to indonesia again. I guess He always visit to country who speaks in english only😂 such as india philipines pakistan something like that .. i guess dale Phillips doesn't really like Indonesia😅😢

Sorry, I was told to not to worry about such things as I'm just learning and it's difficult to know when to use what and that you need to switch it up, so I just use Kamu. Didn't know it's that important. Honestly, in my language we also have such thing as addressing the older, but I would never care that a foreigner would make such a mistake and I would be happy that he is learning my language 🤷
