That medallion is a commemorative regarding the defeat of Napoleon at Waterloo....Wellington and Alexander were the head British generals and Blucher was the general of the Prussian contingent of the allies against Napoleon.

It would be extremely educational for you to contact Richard Hemery while you are there. He is an expert in early pottery. You might be able to find some Roman pottery shards in he Thames.

Fantastic video. ! Nice family and finds. Half expected you to dig a 3 ringer or other civil war relic but little chance of that I guess. Looks like you had a great time.

Your coin with the writing could be connected with the battle of waterloo...could be a commerative piece....those names sounded like some of the Generals who were there....just a thought....I believe the last name isn't Butcher but is Blucher( sounds like Blooker I may have spelled it wrong I'm recalling from memory and can't remember how he spelled his name)...but Wellington sweated it out waiting for him to arrive on the field of battle while facing Gen. Napoleon Bonaparte

Very nice finds! Your foreshore finds will make a nice display case. Loved the buttons. Did you find out anything about the Buck's Rifle Volunteers one? I hope you scored at least one hammy while you were there! Best wishes and HH, Dave.

As a collector, it makes my skin crawl everytime he rubs the dirt into a coin face. He should use a toothbrush at minimum and carry a bottle of water - UGH!
@randomsecrets

I truly love your videos, but please start taking a bottle of water and a toothbrush with you. Rubbing the dirt into old coins and objects scratches and does serious harm to the aesthetics and value as well. Please stop rubbing the dirt on them.
