Don't know if they'd let ya or not, but I have a buddy who flies a drone over his massive property (s) along the creeks and river about 50',100 yrs away and can spot old fire rings on the land. Not just our sized campfire rings, but big, communal/village-sized rings. Amazingly effective. This is D Boone and D Crockett lands and peace treaty/trading area, as well as a huge warpath mustering site. Poor-assed, stove-up and pert ne're give out me can just dream about it.

You're on the hill and on em. That piece at 13:36 is a flint celt. It's not crude at all it's very well made. The part you called the base is the bit. They're just like a hard stone celt for wood working and scraping. Betcha a axe or something killer comes out up there. Best of luck.👍👊

No telling what you’ll find out there. There ought to be some boatstones, grooved axes, pipe bowls. I have all of that stuff I’ve found since I started looking when I was 10 years old in 1967. @sonnypate68082 жыл бұрын
It's called a probe. They are used for finding bottle digging sites and for finding artifacts. You go around a site and try to find concentrations of rock. Once you use one for awhile you can hear the difference between flint and other things like fire pit stones. You want to dig where the concentration is the highest. Hope that helps.👍👊

It would be really cool to be able to assemble a piece of pottery and give it to the tribe that made it.
2 ай бұрын
Pottery can be thousands of yrs old. Giving it to its "tribe" isn't a thing outside of missipian period ceramics but even then, they don't deserve ownership to those artifacts any more than the men out finding them.
@aamantium12 ай бұрын
So, only tribes that existed millions of years ago would appreciate a gift that was potentially made by their family members, 100s of years previous to its unearthing?
@potawatomimko61082 жыл бұрын
Technically speaking this is still property of a tribe. Lol not saying I care. But someone may. Who knows on 2022
